About me and my therapy practice
If you're feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or simply at a point where something in life needs to change, therapy can help you find a way forward. I offer a supportive, collaborative space where we can explore what’s going on and work towards meaningful, positive change in your life.
I am an experienced counsellor & psychotherapist, with over 25 years of practice.
I take a gentle and flexible approach to therapy, drawing on ideas from Compassion Focused Therapy and humanistic ways of working. Rather than following one fixed method, I focus on what feels most helpful and supportive for you.
My practice is inclusive and LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I work with individuals and couples to help them move towards greater understanding, resilience, and wellbeing.

About me and my therapy practice
I'm Markus, lead relationship therapist at Horizons Couples Therapy.
At Horizons Couples Therapy I offer a compassionate and professional environment where couples can work together to strengthen their relationships.
I believe that healthy relationships are built on understanding, open communication, and mutual support. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where couples can explore their concerns and work collaboratively toward meaningful, lasting change.
My work is increasingly informed by Imago Relationship Therapy, including the structured, therapeutic use of Imago Dialogue—a powerful process that helps partners listen deeply, mirror each other’s experiences, and build empathy and connection.
I understand that every relationship faces challenges, and my goal is to help partners reconnect, rebuild trust, and grow together—navigating life’s changes hand-in-hand. With a focus on communication, emotional intimacy, and mutual respect, I support couples in rediscovering their shared vision for the future of their relationship.
