About me and my therapy practice

I’m a neurodivergent, queer and trans therapist. I know what it’s like to feel anxious, overwhelmed, low or just plain exhausted by trying to exist in a world that isn’t designed with us in mind. The things that affect you often affect me too — I don’t sit above you as “the expert.” Instead, I bring my own lived experience alongside my training and tools as a therapist.

My style is relaxed and friendly, with space for humour and honesty as much as gentleness. Sessions often include a lot of “me too, I get it” moments, because I really do. If you’ve ever felt like you have to explain yourself or translate your experience, this is a space where you don’t have to.

The heart of my work is supporting queer and neurodivergent people to survive (and hopefully thrive) in a world that isn’t always kind or accommodating.

Practice description

There’s no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to therapy. I draw on different approaches — person-centred, CBT, ACT — but the most important part is finding what works for you. Sometimes that looks like practical tools, sometimes it’s space to process, and sometimes it’s being met with humour and humanity when things feel heavy.

I work with a wide range of experiences, including:

● ADHD & autism

● Anxiety & stress

● Depression & low confidence

● Anger & overwhelm

● Trauma

● OCD

● LGBT+ issues, including the specific challenges of being trans in today’s world

My first session

Your first session is about you telling your story in your own way, at your own pace. We’ll talk about what’s brought you here and what you’d like to get from therapy. You can also ask me anything you need to know. I understand how daunting it can feel to take this step, so we’ll go gently.
