Availability
I currently have availability for new clients.
I offer individual counselling online via Microsoft Teams, with appointments available by arrangement.
If I am due to take annual leave or will be unavailable for a period of time, I will discuss this with existing clients in advance wherever possible.
About me and my therapy practice
My work is based on the belief that understanding ourselves is an important part of creating lasting change.
I take a person-centred and developmental approach, helping you explore not only what is happening now, but how earlier experiences, relationships and ways of coping may have shaped the person you have become.
Sometimes we can find ourselves repeating patterns without fully understanding why. Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down, become more aware of these patterns, and consider whether they still meet your needs.
My role is not to diagnose your life or tell you what to do. I work alongside you, offering a supportive and thoughtful space in which you can develop greater self-awareness, recognise your strengths and make choices that feel right for you.
Practice description
My practice offers a professional, confidential, and supportive environment where you can take time to explore the difficulties or concerns that have brought you to counselling.
I work with adults individually and offer sessions online via Microsoft Teams. My approach is person-centred and developmental, with the work shaped around you, your circumstances and what you would like to gain from counselling.
Our initial contact gives us an opportunity to consider what has brought you to therapy and whether working together feels appropriate. There is no expectation that you should know exactly what you want to talk about or where to begin.
During our sessions, we can slow things down and look more closely at your experiences, thoughts, feelings, and patterns of responding. Over time, this can help you develop greater self-awareness and awareness of the choices available to you.
I aim to provide a relationship that is respectful, collaborative, and non-judgemental. We will regularly review our work together so that counselling remains focused on what is meaningful and helpful to you.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, explore what has brought you to counselling and begin to understand what you would like from our work together.
There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about. We can take things at your pace.
I will ask some questions about your current circumstances, relevant experiences, and any difficulties you are facing. This helps us develop an initial understanding of your needs and provides a starting point for our work together.
It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about how I work and to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.
If we agree to continue, we can begin identifying areas you would like to explore and review these as the counselling develops.
