I currently have a couple of spaces for new clients and offer sessions online on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
I work exclusively online via Zoom, offering you a grounded and confidential space from the comfort of your own home. My practice is designed to be clear, flexible and easy to navigate from booking your sessions to showing up for the deeper work itself.
If you’re considering working with me, I offer a free 30 minute consultation so we can get a feel for whether we’re a good fit. This is a chance to ask questions and share a little about what you’re looking for.
My work is best suited to people who are ready to engage with themselves in a meaningful and ongoing way; not looking for a quick fix, but willing to do the work of honest change.
If you’ve tried therapy before but it didn’t quite get to the heart of it, I offer something different: a steady, real-time process that works with your whole system not just your thoughts.
Upcoming breaks and holiday times will be shared in advance with all ongoing clients.

About me and my therapy practice
If you’re looking for therapy that goes beyond surface level insight, you’re in the right place.
I work with people who are ready to take responsibility for themselves and their relationships. You may already have some self-awareness, perhaps you have been to therapy before but something still hasn’t shifted. That’s where I come in.
My approach is integrative, body-aware and rooted in integrity. I don’t focus on “fixing” you. I help you build a relationship with yourself that is grounded, compassionate, and honest. We work with what’s present in the here and now, rather than getting lost in old stories.
This is not about endlessly revisiting the past or over-analysing the problem. It’s about working directly with the parts of you that are still holding on, the ones that keep you stuck, small or silent. We will work together to build your self compassion and inner trust until you feel able to move forward with clarity and choice.
I bring over a decade of experience to this work. I offer a clear, steady presence that can hold the complexity of your story while also helping you see the bigger picture.
Clients often tell me they feel truly met for the first time. That something about our work cuts through the noise and gets to what really matters.
If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d love to hear from you.
Practice description
In my practice, I offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are, no pretence, no mask, just you. I work with clients who are committed to doing the deeper work that leads to lasting change, and I’m here to support you as you take ownership of your growth.
My approach is integrative, meaning we don’t rely on one specific method. Instead, I blend techniques from relational, somatic, and trauma-informed therapies to meet you where you are. I’ve spent my career constantly learning and adapting so I have a wealth of experience and an extensive toolbox to support you with.
Whether you’re feeling stuck in a specific relationship or struggling to break patterns that no longer serve you, I’ll help you make sense of what’s happening in your life and support you in taking action toward meaningful change.
I firmly believe that real transformation comes from working with your whole self, not just the intellectual parts, but also your body, emotions, and inner wisdom. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on for you in the present moment, rather than staying stuck in the past. I offer a direct, grounded presence that encourages clarity, self compassion, and integrity.
All sessions are held online via Zoom, which gives you the flexibility to engage in therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space. The therapeutic relationship itself is key to this process, so my commitment is to create an open, clear, and trustworthy environment where you can feel safe to explore what’s needed.
What you can expect from working with me:
• A safe, grounded space for personal growth
• Clear boundaries and expectations throughout our work
• Support in taking responsibility for your own healing
• Practical tools and strategies for real change
• A steady and compassionate approach to the work
If you’re ready to invest in yourself and make meaningful changes, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you on that journey.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to explore if we’re a good fit for working together and to start building the foundation for our work. During this session, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, what you hope to achieve, and any specific challenges you’re facing.
I offer a free consultation before we begin, where we can chat briefly about what you’re looking for and how I work. This is an informal way to get to know each other and make sure we’re aligned.
It is traditional for the first session to be spent setting up the counselling contract but I don’t believe that is something you should have to pay to be guided through you so you will find it at: www.helentravis.com/terms-and-conditions and in our first session you can ask any questions you have about it. Then, we can get to work.
I’ll also ask you a few questions to get a sense of your current situation and any background information that will help me understand what you’re experiencing.
There is no formal assessment process. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, and we’ll begin that by exploring what feels most relevant to you in the moment. I won’t be expecting you to share everything all at once. My approach is grounded in working with what’s happening now, staying within your capacity, not forcing you to open up before you’re ready.
You can expect me to listen attentively, ask questions that help you reflect, and be clear with you about any boundaries and expectations.
There’s no pressure to commit to long-term therapy. After each session, you’ll have the chance to decide if you want to continue. If at any time you feel the fit isn’t right, that’s completely okay, I want you to feel confident and comfortable in your therapy.
