About me and my therapy practice

Counselling Approach and Experience

I have 20 years’ experience of working with men, women, and children. I support my clients to make sense of their experiences, process emotions, and move beyond self-limiting beliefs and behaviours. My work is guided by sensitivity, intention, and intuition.

As an Integrative Counsellor I draw on various models of psychotherapy to tailor therapy to your specific needs.

How Counselling Can Help You

I view the counselling relationship as a vehicle for change. I believe that the experience of being met in the in the here and now by another who can attend to our past, present and future concerns with acceptance and empathy can facilitate the healing of hurts and confusions.

Issues I work With

I welcome whatever issue you may bring to counselling. I will not offer you advice, but I will help you to make sense of your life events, feelings and experiences. I have expertise in working with Trauma and Attachment, Anxiety and Depression, Domestic Abuse, Bereavement and Relationship Issues.

I have witnessed how our early experiences, including our unmet needs in infancy, can shape the way we think, feel, and behave. I also recognise that deep seated emotional pain, trauma, and grief can be held in the body beyond our conscious awareness. This can impact on all areas of our life including our self-esteem; relationships work and decision making.

Additional Healing Approaches

For those who are interested I draw on core shamanic principles to help you to identify the root cause of challenging issues and to support you to heal from deep seated emotional wounds, trauma, and grief. I can also offer Energy healing to support you to connect to your body’s own wisdom and your own innate capacity to heal. My aim is to help you find clarity, communicate more openly, and experience greater freedom through the integration of your mind, body, and spirit.

I will meet you with empathy, warmth, and compassion.
