About me and my therapy practice
My name is Sue, and I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and NCH Accredited Hypnotherapist with over 25 years’ experience supporting individuals, couples and groups.
I provide face-to-face, online and remote Counselling, Supervision and Hypnotherapy. I work with people experiencing a wide range of emotional and personal difficulties, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, work-related stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and challenges affecting confidence and emotional wellbeing.
Reaching out for professional support can feel daunting, particularly when you may already be struggling. My aim is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what you are experiencing and feel genuinely heard and understood.
I believe that every person is unique, and therefore I take an individual and collaborative approach to therapy. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences, patterns and behaviours, helping you develop greater self-awareness and identify positive ways forward. I work at a pace that feels appropriate for you, respecting your individual circumstances, needs and goals.
My approach is founded on building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, respect and understanding. I believe that developing a deeper understanding of ourselves can help us recognise patterns that may no longer be helpful and create opportunities to make meaningful and lasting changes.
Where appropriate, I can integrate my counselling and hypnotherapy skills to support therapeutic and behavioural change.
I offer online sessions via WhatsApp, Zoom etc, providing accessibility for clients both within the UK and internationally where English is spoken.
I offer a free short consultation, giving you an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for and ask any initial questions before deciding whether I may be the right therapist for you.
If you feel ready to take that first step, please contact me on 07944 445548.
Practice description
Hello, I’m Sue. I’m a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor and an NCH Accredited Hypnotherapist, with over 25 years’ experience supporting individuals, couples and groups through a wide range of emotional, personal and relationship difficulties.
My approach is integrative and individualised. I believe that there is no single approach that is right for everyone, and I therefore take time to understand you, your experiences and what you hope to achieve from therapy. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, relationships and patterns, helping you develop greater self-awareness and identify positive and meaningful ways forward.
I also integrate my counselling and hypnotherapy experience where appropriate, particularly when this may support changes in established patterns of thinking, behaviour, confidence or emotional responses. The work is always collaborative and undertaken at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that effective therapy is built upon trust, empathy, respect and understanding. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences while developing the confidence and resources to make positive changes.
I offer face-to-face sessions as well as online therapy via Zoom, WhatsApp etc. Online therapy provides flexibility and accessibility for clients within the UK and internationally where English is spoken.

My first session
My aim as a Supervisor is to provide a safe, supportive and professionally challenging space where you can reflect openly on your practice, develop your confidence and continue to grow as a practitioner.
With over 25 years’ experience as a counsellor, supervisor and hypnotherapist, I offer supervision to qualified practitioners and trainees. I provide a collaborative and integrative approach, informed by Person-Centred and Humanistic principles, alongside appropriate consideration of psychodynamic, relational and other therapeutic perspectives.
Our first session gives us an opportunity to get to know one another, discuss your experience, current practice and supervision needs, and establish how we can work together effectively. We will explore your expectations of supervision, your client work, ethical responsibilities, professional development and any particular areas where you would value support or challenge.
I believe effective supervision should provide both support and constructive challenge. It is a space to explore client work, therapeutic relationships, boundaries, risk and safeguarding, ethical dilemmas, professional identity, personal responses and the impact of our work on us as practitioners.
For trainees, supervision can also provide an important bridge between theoretical learning and developing confidence in real-world practice. I aim to encourage curiosity, reflection, self-awareness and increasing professional autonomy while ensuring that client welfare remains central.
I work within the principles of the BACP Ethical Framework and encourage supervisees to develop their own reflective and ethical decision-making skills rather than simply seeking answers.
Supervision should be a place where you can bring uncertainty, mistakes, difficult experiences and successes without fear of judgement. My role is to listen, support, question, challenge and help you think more deeply about your practice.
