Should you experience a mental health emergency while I am away or outside of my standard working hours, please contact your local GP, dial 111, or connect with the Samaritans on 116 123 for immediate assistance.
About me and my therapy practice
Taking the courageous step to seek therapy is the starting point for profound positive growth. If you are constantly battling an anxious attachment style, you know how exhausting it can be. It means feeling hyper-vigilant to tiny shifts in your partner's mood, constantly craving reassurance, or getting trapped in repetitive relationship loops that leave you both drained.
When you are stuck in these painful cycles, you might find yourselves falling into the same arguments week after week — leaving one partner feeling completely hijacked by anxiety or anger, while the other steps back or walks on eggshells.
As a qualified psychotherapist with 16 years of experience, specialising as an Attachment Psychotherapist, I provide a warm, calm, and completely judgment-free space online across the UK where you can finally let your guard down. I strive to create a consistent and reliable schedule so you can plan your sessions with absolute confidence.
I have always viewed therapy as a deeply transformative journey—a shared path where my role is never to dictate or provide simplistic answers. Instead, we will work collaboratively as a team, navigating the twists and turns together, to create the necessary conditions for you to discover your own unique inner wisdom and find your way forward.
Relationship Attachment Therapy
Relationships thrive when both partners feel securely attached, but early experiences shape our unconscious blueprints that dictate how we react to love and conflict today. When these blueprints clash, partners often get caught in a reactive loop where one person chases and the other withdraws. I work with all couples feeling disconnected, stuck in loops, or recovering from relationship distress.
Together, we explore how you originally learnt to attach, creating a safe space to understand what wasn't there in the past, allowing you to gently mourn those missing pieces and unmet needs together.
Practice description
In our sessions, we focus on practical, soulful healing through three key pillars:
- I help you hear what is spoken and unspoken, putting words to underlying pain so you can move past reactive arguments and rewrite your relationship narrative.
- When emotional flooding strikes, I provide a steady, secure base to soothe your nervous systems so you can reflect rather than react.
- We work on stepping back to make sense of each other’s internal worlds, building deep empathy and psychological mindfulness.
Individual & Relationship Support for PMDD
Alongside general relationship therapy, I hold a dedicated specialist focus for individuals and couples navigating PMDD. This neurobiological storm intensely magnifies attachment anxieties during the luteal phase. My approach uses two phases timed to match your cycle:
In the Luteal Phase (Affect Regulation): We focus entirely on practical DBT and CBT skills. We work on distress tolerance, mindfulness, and identifying unhelpful monthly thought patterns—giving you concrete anchors to hold you safe until the storm passes.
In your 'Good Weeks' (Deep Healing): We use Attachment Theory to heal the aftermath of shame and self-criticism. Together, we look at the narrative of your past. Through our warm therapeutic relationship, you will learn to quieten internal attacks and internalise a supportive, compassionate voice.
What You Can Expect
We actively collaborate to understand the roots of your experiences and rewrite your story. You will move from feeling powerless against relationship loops or hormonal cycles to holding a steady management strategy. You will learn to break free from attachment traps, establish a secure base with your partner, and develop an "earned security" that fills your life with healthy boundaries, calm, and optimism for the future.
My first session
I understand that taking the step to attend a first therapy session can feel daunting, so I strive to make our initial meeting as warm, predictable, and comfortable as possible.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet via a secure online video link from the privacy of your own chosen space. It is structured as an initial consultation—a completely gentle, low-pressure conversation where we will look at what is currently troubling you, discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and explore which pathway best fits your needs.
In this initial meeting, you will engage with someone on a truly neutral and impartial level. My role is never to judge, dictate, or provide simplistic answers; instead, we will work collaboratively, as a team, to articulate precisely what is troubling you and explore the most effective, sustainable strategies for your well-being.
What to Expect
There are absolutely no expectations for you to have everything figured out or to share painful history before you feel completely ready.
Rather than a rigid, cold interrogation, we will work together to gently begin mapping out the roots of your current relationship dynamics, stuck cycles, or individual challenges.
This session is primarily a space for us to see how we connect and to ensure you feel safe, heard, and aligned with my approach as we begin this journey.
Practicalities
Following our first session, if we both feel that we are a good fit to work together, we will establish a regular weekly slot that is securely held for you going forward. There is no obligation to commit during the call; I fully welcome you taking the time you need to reflect on whether this feels like the right therapeutic path for you.
You do not have to carry these struggles entirely on your own; when you are ready to take that next step, I am here to support you.
