About me and my therapy practice

A warm welcome. I am an experienced trauma-informed and IFS trained psychotherapist offering online therapy. I specialise in working with trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, low mood, and low self-esteem. Many people come to therapy because they feel anxious, low, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. This may show up in relationships, general wellbeing, or a persistent sense that something isn’t quite right.

My approach is based on Internal Family Systems (IFS), a compassionate and non-pathologising way of understanding the mind. IFS helps us explore the different “parts” of ourselves — such as the inner critic, the people-pleaser, the achiever, or the part that withdraws or relies on coping strategies. These patterns often develop in response to early experiences and can continue to shape how we feel and relate to others.

Much of my work focuses on attachment and relational difficulties. Our sense of self is shaped through early relationships, and when certain feelings or needs were not welcomed, we may have learned to hide or suppress parts of ourselves. Over time this can lead to anxiety, depression, shame, emotional numbness, or ongoing self-criticism.

I also work with intergenerational and cultural influences, including family patterns and the impact of marginalisation or oppression. Some clients experience this as carrying feelings or burdens that do not fully belong to them. We explore this gently, at your pace, and without judgement.

Practice description

My work is both trauma-informed and somatic, recognising that difficult experiences are held not only in thoughts but also in the body and nervous system. By supporting awareness of both, therapy can help restore a sense of safety, balance, and inner stability.

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can explore your inner world with curiosity and compassion, reconnect with your strengths, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.

These are some areas that I specialise in:

• Early attachment and developmental trauma

• Relationship and relational difficulties

• Shame and self-criticism

• Low self-esteem and identity struggles

• Emotional regulation and overwhelm

• Inner conflict and “parts” work

• Somatic awareness and mind–body connection

My first session

I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute phone or Zoom consultation where we can explore your needs, expectations, and my approach to working together.

Following this, I encourage clients to use the first full session as an opportunity to get a feel for how we work together and decide whether I’m the right fit for you.
