I'm a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I’m also aligned with Category C of the SCoPEd framework, which reflects advanced training, experience and professional responsibility.

I’ve been working as a counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor for over 35 years. Alongside my professional experience, I bring my own understanding of what it means to navigate difficult times and work through change. I know that choosing to talk to someone can feel like a big step, and I’m here to offer a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted for who you are. There are times when life can feel difficult, uncertain, or just not quite how it used to. You might be dealing with anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties, change, or a feeling that you have lost your sense of direction. Sometimes you know exactly what is troubling you. Other times, you just have a feeling that something needs to change.

The people and experiences in our lives become part of the story of who we are. In some ways, we are a bit like a tree, shaped by our roots, the environment around us, and everything we have experienced along the way. Some relationships become deeply rooted and are an important part of our lives, while others sit further out, offering friendship, connection, support and a sense of belonging.

Our relationships can change as we do. Some people grow alongside us, some become more distant, and some experiences can stay with us long after they have happened. The relationships we have, particularly those closest to us, can shape how we see ourselves, what we expect from others and how comfortable we feel being truly ourselves.

About me and my therapy practice

I provide supervision for ongoing counselling and therapy and Single Session Therapy. I am on the UKCP Supervisors Directory and am a BACP-accredited supervisor.  Aligned to column C in the SCoPEd framework.

With over 30 years of experience in psychotherapy, I now work primarily with practitioners who are well established in their professional lives. The psychotherapists and counsellors I support are at least five years post-qualification and have a strong grounding in clinical practice.

By this stage, you have moved beyond training and are engaging with the depth and nuance of the work. You understand complexity and uncertainty, and you recognise what it takes to build and sustain meaningful therapeutic relationships. The relationships you have formed have both challenged and shaped you. Experience brings confidence, and it also brings new questions, new developmental edges, and an ongoing desire to grow.

My role is to provide a reflective, collaborative space where experienced practitioners can think deeply about their work, refine their approach, and continue to develop. With three decades of experience in the field, I offer perspective, stability, and a deep respect for the responsibility and privilege that come with this profession.

If you are an experienced psychotherapist seeking a space that honours your expertise while supporting your continued growth, I would welcome the opportunity to work alongside you.
