About me and my therapy practice
You may be carrying the impact of early childhood experiences that continue to shape how you think, feel, and relate to others. These patterns often develop quietly over time. You may have learnt to cope by staying strong, minimising your needs, or managing everything alone — even when it feels overwhelming internally.
For some, these long-standing patterns become more visible during periods of crisis, loss, or serious illness. A cancer diagnosis or other significant health challenge can reactivate earlier wounds, intensify feelings of vulnerability, and raise questions about identity, control, and belonging.
It can feel difficult to speak openly about these experiences — especially if you fear being judged, misunderstood, or seen as a burden. You may have shared parts of your story before and still sense that something deeper remains unresolved.
I offer a confidential and steady space where we can explore both past and present experiences with care and depth. Together, we will gently examine the patterns affecting your relationships, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. My work is grounded and psychologically informed, supporting you to regain emotional steadiness, clarity, and a stronger sense of self—particularly during times when life feels uncertain or destabilising.
Practice description
I am an accredited psychotherapist and oncology counsellor with nearly a decade of clinical experience, including work within the NHS and specialist oncology settings. I support adults navigating complex emotional challenges, particularly where anxiety, trauma, relationship dynamics, and serious illness intersect.
My work is grounded, reflective, and psychologically informed. I offer a confidential space where we can explore not only immediate distress but also the deeper patterns shaping how you relate to yourself and others. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning and capable on the outside, yet privately overwhelmed, burdened, or emotionally exhausted.
I have particular expertise in supporting individuals affected by cancer — whether at diagnosis, during treatment, in remission, or living with ongoing uncertainty. Serious illness can reactivate earlier relational wounds, intensify guilt, and destabilise identity. My role is to help you regain emotional steadiness and clarity during these periods of vulnerability.
I also work with adults whose early life experiences continue to influence their confidence, relationships, and sense of worth. Together, we gently examine these patterns so that you can respond to life’s challenges with greater resilience and self-understanding.
Therapy with me is collaborative and thoughtfully paced. I offer both focused, short-term work and longer-term depth therapy, depending on your needs.
Sessions are available online.
My first session
Sessions are held online via Zoom at a consistent weekly or fortnightly time. Our first session provides space to explore what has brought you to therapy — whether related to anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, or the psychological impact of serious illness such as cancer.
Where cancer or other health challenges are involved, we will consider both the emotional and relational effects of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. In our early work, we will clarify your goals and agree on a clear therapeutic focus. Progress is reviewed periodically to ensure the work remains steady, purposeful, and responsive to your needs.
My fee is £90 per 50-minute session.
