About me and my therapy practice
Guaranteed response to enquiries within 24 hours
I offer therapy in person in Pontefract and online via Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, providing flexibility for clients across the UK.
I'm a BACP Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, offering compassionate and personalised therapy for adults. I’ve been practising since 2017 and became BACP Accredited in 2019 - a quality mark that reflects my experience, ethical practice and commitment to continued professional development.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of counselling approaches, which means sessions are tailored to suit your unique needs and preferences. My aim is always to meet you where you are and work in a way that feels safe, collaborative and empowering.
I'm also a qualified Clinical Supervisor, supporting other counsellors in their work.
Practice description
In my private practice, I offer support with a wide range of issues and have particular experience in:
Therapy for ADHD and Autism (including self-diagnosed neurodivergence)
Support for LGBTQIA+ clients, including transgender and non-binary individuals
Binge eating, emotional eating and body image issues
Anxiety and depression counselling
Bereavement and grief support
Workplace stress and EAP counselling
I am an affiliate counsellor for several Employee Assistance Programmes, delivering short-term, solution-focused counselling for workplace-related concerns.
My background also includes working in a women-only NHS Talking Therapies service, where I supported clients experiencing complex trauma, childhood sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and other mental health difficulties such as chronic pain, addiction, bereavement, and stress.
Previously, I spent seven years working at the University of Leeds in Disability Services, where I mentored students with Autism, ADHD, mental health conditions and long-term health issues. This role allowed me to support students in a holistic and empowering way, with a focus on both emotional and practical wellbeing.

About me and my therapy practice
What you can expect from me as a supervisor…
I offer a warm, collaborative and reflective supervision space for both qualified and trainee therapists. I welcome practitioners from a range of modalities and work to understand and support your unique approach to therapy.
I have experience as a Counselling Skills Tutor at Leeds Beckett University, working closely with trainees on the Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy, and bring this into my supervision style – encouraging growth, curiosity and critical thinking.
As a supervisor, I aim to uphold professional and ethical standards in the field of counselling by:
Supporting you to maintain client safety and wellbeing
Creating a facilitative and non-judgemental space to explore your therapeutic work
Reflecting together on the dynamics and unconscious processes that may emerge in the client relationship
Encouraging you to deepen your self-awareness and professional development

I previously worked at the University of Leeds for 7 years within Disability Services, as a Specialist Mentor for students with Autism, ADHD, chronic conditions and mental health diagnoses. This role focused on collaborative, developmental support—something I also aim to foster in supervision.
