As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of counselling approaches, which means sessions are tailored to suit your unique needs and preferences. My aim is always to meet you where you are and work in a way that feels safe, collaborative and empowering.

I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor, supporting other counsellors in their work.

I have also completed training in Couples/Relationship therapy and am offering a free 15 minute Discovery call to see if Couples therapy is right for you.

Practice description

In my private practice, I offer support with a wide range of issues and have particular experience in:

I am an affiliate counsellor for several Employee Assistance Programmes, delivering short-term, solution-focused counselling for workplace-related concerns.

My background also includes working in a women-only NHS Talking Therapies service, where I supported clients experiencing complex trauma, childhood sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and other mental health difficulties such as chronic pain, addiction, bereavement, and stress.

Previously, I spent seven years working at the University of Leeds in Disability Services, where I mentored students with Autism, ADHD, mental health conditions and long-term health issues. About me and my therapy practice

Supervision to support your clinical work and your career as a private practitioner.

If you're building a private practice, not just ticking a box for your professional body - you need a supervisor who understands both. I offer relational, affirming clinical supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists across the UK, in person in Pontefract or online via Zoom.

Is this you?

You're working towards (or maintaining) BACP or UKCP accreditation and need regular, high-quality supervision

You're building your own private practice and want a supervisor who can think with you about caseload, boundaries, and sustainability- not just clinical technique

You want a supervisory relationship that's collaborative and grounded, not hierarchical or "checking up on you"

You're an integrative, relational, or person-centred practitioner (or training in one of these approaches)

You value reflective practice and want a supervisor who takes your way of working seriously

What makes supervision with me different

It's relational first. Supervision should feel like a soft landing, not an inspection. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in lived experience - the same qualities I bring to my own clinical work as a BACP Senior Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist.

It's practice-aware. Many supervisors focus purely on clinical material. I also help you think about the realities of sustaining a private practice- pacing your caseload, protecting your own wellbeing, and making decisions that support you for the long term, not just this week's session notes.

It's affirming and inclusive. I have particular depth of experience with neurodivergent-affirming practice (ADHD, autism), LGBTQIA+ issues, and working with clients navigating complex or long-standing difficulties- useful if these are areas you work in or want to develop.

Practice description

Background

I am a BACP Senior Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist with over ten years' experience. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Leeds Beckett University, and a Diploma in Supervision from the Leeds Centre for Psychological Development.

Before private practice, I spent seven years at the University of Leeds Disability Services as a Specialist Mentor, supporting students with ADHD, autism, and mental health difficulties - work that shaped the collaborative, developmental approach I bring to supervision today.

I am open to working with counsellors from various modalities and would seek to understand your individual approach to counselling. I also have experience as a Lecturer in Counselling at Leeds Beckett University, having taught many counselling trainees since 2021.

My job as a supervisor is to uphold the counselling profession; I do this by working with the therapist to monitor client safety and wellbeing and creating a facilitative and nurturing environment in which we can explore together the therapeutic relationships between you and your clients, and reflect on the unconscious processes which can emerge between them.

Also in the process of supervision, I would support and encourage the supervisee to become aware of any internal responses that may help enhance their personal and professional development.
