About me and my therapy practice

You may feel that you are struggling alone and that you can’t talk to people close to you. Perhaps this is affecting how you feel about yourself in your relationships and at work? This might lead to you feeling confused by your feelings which you think you need to hide from others. Does this sound familiar?

I’m an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor, registered with both UKCP & BACP, and I work with clients to support them with their immediate struggles, while also helping to understand and identify underlying and often unseen issues: a process which can lead to positive and lasting change.

I work with a wide range of issues but have a specialised interest in anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, men's issues, life transitions and relationship issues. I see therapy as offering a space to step aside from your everyday life - a confidential and judgement-free space - where we approach your concerns with curiosity and compassion and uncover what's holding you back.

Practice description

How therapy works for you

Clients experience a variety of outcomes, from the initial sharing of a problem that has been weighing them down, to a growing and deepening understanding of how these issues came about, to positive change in their key relationships, to how they feel about themselves on an average day.

Through this process, I will work with you to gain insight into your emotional reactions and behavioural patterns - such as getting angry, frustrated, scared, withdrawing or self-criticising - as you begin to build a new self-awareness. This emerging understanding will provide you with new ways of responding to situations you find difficult and - in the longer-term - will help you develop more of a say in how you lead your life and in the increasing life choices you can make.

If you connect with what you've read here then contact me to book a free 30 minute phone consultation where we'll discuss what you want to get out of therapy, I can answer any questions you may have and you'll get a sense if working with me feels right.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer clinical supervision for therapists and trainees, grounded in an integrative, relational approach. My work is informed by humanistic and psychodynamic thinking, with attention to both the therapeutic relationship and the wider context in which the work sits.

I aim to provide a reflective and collaborative space where you can think openly about your client work, develop your clinical voice, and explore both process and challenge. This may include attending to relational dynamics, ethical considerations, and the personal impact of the work.
