About me and my therapy practice
It's not unusual to find oneself facing a difficult time and in need of support and understanding.
People often come to me for psychotherapy after a painful life event or because they are having problems at home or work. Psychotherapy helps to make sense of things.
My approach is psychodynamic: I work with individuals to bring to light what is underlying their distress in order to promote understanding and change.
The work takes place within a safe and accepting therapeutic environment in which you are free to express and explore whatever is on your mind.
In addition to my private clinic, I work in an NHS service that provides psychological treatment for depression and anxiety disorders.
Getting started
I recommend an initial consultation, usually between one to three meetings, in which to think together about what you need and what would be most helpful to you going forward.
I offer short-term, long-term and open-ended therapeutic work, depending on what is needed.
Please feel free to get in touch for an initial consultation.
