ONLINE B91
Sessions from £70.00

Features

Availability

I am currently offering online sessions in the UK and internationally.

I am available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 7pm.

About me and my therapy practice

I’m an IFS therapist specialising in supporting South Asian women who struggle with people-pleasing and difficult relationships with family, partners or in-laws. Despite trying to meet everyone’s expectations, do you still feel "not good enough?" Do you worry about disappointing others if you put your own needs first? Do you find it hard to be your true self?

Many South Asian women have grown up hearing the phrase “What will people say?" This is more than a passing comment; it can become an unspoken guide for how you live your life. It can leave you feeling pulled between honouring your family and honouring yourself. You may fear being judged or bringing shame to your family. You might worry about being seen as selfish or disloyal, or a “bad” daughter, wife or mother, if you choose a different path.

Living under this pressure can be exhausting. Over time, it can lead to anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, and a sense of losing touch with who you are.

How Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy can help

IFS is a compassionate approach that helps you understand the different parts of yourself that influence how you feel, think and respond.

Through IFS therapy, you can:

  • Navigate difficult relationships by recognising recurring patterns and communicating your needs more confidently.
  • Understand people-pleasing and explore why putting others first may feel necessary.
  • Reduce the impact of "What will people say?" and make choices that feel right for you.
  • Build self-worth and self-trust so you're less reliant on others' approval.
  • Set healthier boundaries with less guilt and greater confidence.

You don't have to choose between caring for yourself and caring for your family. Therapy can help you honour your relationships and cultural values while creating space for your own needs, identity and aspirations.

Practice description

A little about me

As a second-generation South Asian woman, I understand how cultural expectations and family roles can shape our identity and choices. My experiences as a daughter, sister, wife and mother-in-law have helped me appreciate the challenges of balancing family relationships with our own needs.

Following a 30-year career as an NHS Orthoptist, my own experience of therapy inspired me to retrain as a therapist. This personal journey, combined with my healthcare background, has shaped my commitment to helping people create meaningful change.

I welcome people from all backgrounds, with a particular interest in supporting South Asian women. I also have experience supporting women through life transitions such as menopause, as well as miscarriage and pregnancy loss.

What to expect from therapy

I offer online therapy to adults across the UK and internationally. You don't need to know exactly what you want to change or have any previous knowledge of IFS. We will explore what's troubling you at a pace that feels manageable.

Therapy doesn’t have to take a lot of your time. It’s just 50 minutes every week and you can book an online session that fits your schedule and cuts out travel.

Sessions and fees

  • Format: Online therapy.
  • Session length: 50 minutes.
  • Frequency: Weekly.
  • Fee: £70 per session.
  • Duration: Short-term or longer-term, depending on your needs.

Qualifications and further training

  • BA (Hons) Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) – Level One
  • BSc (Hons) Health Sciences

I regularly undertake continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure my practice remains current and informed. This includes training in menopause, body image, narcissistic abuse, trauma, anger management, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and much more.
