About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced UKCP accredited Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, Trainer and Examiner. I practice privately in High Barnet and offer a warm, caring environment to support individuals to work through the difficult and distressing issues that bring them to therapy. I offer both short-term and long-term therapies depending on the issues presented and the individual needs of the client.  My training is Integrative which means I am qualified to offer a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches (including Person-Centred, TA, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and CBT). I also work Relationally, which means that I consider the relationship between us to be a key part of the therapy; and from an embodied position, which means I work with the whole person - mind, body and spirit.  This enables me to work flexibly and holistically and to adapt my approach to meet different individual's needs as necessary.  I work with adult individuals across a wide range of presenting issues including: - Relationship difficulties and breakdown - Stress and anxiety - Depression - Bereavement, loss and separation - Traumatic experiences from the past or present - Emotional, Physical and Sexual abuse - Low confidence and Self-esteem - Substance misuse. Alongside my private Psychotherapy practice I offer Clinical Supervision to qualified and trainee therapists; I am a tutor on several Counselling and Psychotherapy training programmes including Metanoia and CPPD in London; I prepare BSc and MSc students for their final qualifying exams; and I work as an External Examiner assessing Diploma, BSc and MSc level exams for final year students.

My first session

I offer all clients an initial assessment session. This provides the opportunity for us to discuss what a client is looking for support with and to consider if the support I can offer would be helpful. It is also a chance for us to meet one another and for a client to gain a sense of me and the way I work.
