About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Stuart.

I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life and explore the things you would like to change.

I work in an integrative way, drawing on different counselling approaches so that our work can be tailored to you as an individual and what feels most helpful for you.

I am a registered member of the BACP (MBACP) and work with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues, including anxiety, relationships, low self-esteem, stress, loss and difficult life experiences.

If you are considering working with me, our first session gives us an opportunity to talk about what brings you to counselling, what you would like support with and whether working together feels right for you.

Practice description

I offer face-to-face counselling from my private practice in Lochgelly, Fife, as well as online counselling throughout the UK.

I work in an integrative way, which means our sessions can be shaped around you as an individual rather than following one fixed approach. Our first session gives us an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you would like support with and what you hope might change.

I aim to provide a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore things at your own pace.

Alongside counselling, I also offer complementary therapies through Mello Health, including EFT, Shiatsu, Reiki and Emotion Code. These are separate services and there is no expectation that counselling clients use them.

My first session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to talk about what brings you to counselling and what you would like support with. We can explore what is happening in your life, what you would like to change and what you hope to gain from therapy.

It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. Together, we can consider the approach that may be most helpful for you, whether counselling, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), or a combination of approaches.

There is no pressure to continue after the first session. It is important that you feel comfortable and that working together feels right for you.
