About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Stuart.

I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life and explore the things you would like to change.

My approach brings counselling together with complementary therapies, allowing our work to be tailored to you as an individual and what feels most helpful for you.

I am a registered member of the BACP (MBACP), a Shiatsu Practitioner, Certified EFT Practitioner, Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and Emotion Code Practitioner.

If you are considering working with me, we can begin with an initial consultation where you can ask questions, tell me a little about what brings you to therapy and decide whether working together feels right for you.

Practice description

I offer counselling and complementary therapies in a calm, confidential and non-judgemental environment. Sessions are available face-to-face and online, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you.

My approach is tailored to the individual. Alongside counselling, I can draw on complementary approaches including EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Reiki, Shiatsu and The Emotion Code where appropriate and where you feel these may be helpful.

I work with people experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, stress, relationship problems, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, feeling stuck or overwhelmed, and difficulties making changes in their lives.

My aim is to provide a supportive space where we can explore what is happening for you, develop greater understanding and work towards meaningful and lasting change.

My first session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to talk about what brings you to counselling and what you would like support with. We can explore what is happening in your life, what you would like to change and what you hope to gain from therapy.

It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. Together, we can consider the approach that may be most helpful for you, whether counselling, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), or a combination of approaches.

There is no pressure to continue after the first session. It is important that you feel comfortable and that working together feels right for you.
