About me and my therapy practice
About Me
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy from The Sherwood Institute in Nottingham.
Focus. Relate. Grow.
I believe therapy is an essential part of mental well-being—just as exercise and good nutrition support physical health, regular therapy helps keep your mind resilient and ready to face life’s challenges.
My approach is relational and client-focused, built on respect, empathy, and honesty. In a safe, non-judgmental space, we’ll explore your reasons for seeking therapy at a pace that feels right for you.
Together, we’ll create an open and genuine relationship that empowers you to find the tools you need to manage difficulties and move forward. This process can help you gain clarity, confidence, and a sense of authenticity as you live your life more fully.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward growth and self-understanding, I’m here to support you.
Practice description
Practice Description
At The Modern Therapist, I offer a contemporary, personalised approach to mental health that fits the realities of modern life. My practice is grounded in humanistic and integrative principles, drawing on a range of therapeutic methods to support your individual needs.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are delivered online, usually via Microsoft Teams, making therapy accessible and convenient wherever you are. In our first session, I will carry out a therapeutic assessment to set clear goals and expectations, and provide an overview of what to expect throughout the process. Goals and expectations are regularly reviewed to ensure the therapeutic journey stays on track.
Therapy is not just about what happens in the session—it’s about equipping you with practical tools to use in your day-to-day life. These may include reflective journaling and mindfulness practices, which help deepen your experience and make the most of the work we do together.
My aim is to help you develop insight and create meaningful change, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
