About me and my therapy practice

Are you fed up with your life? Longing for change, but scared of it too? If so, you’ve come to the right place – helping people who are feeling stuck and powerless to change is my speciality.

Do any of these scenarios sound familiar?

· You hate change, and avoid it at all costs. You catastrophise about the future, telling yourself it’s better to stay 'stuck' in a miserable job, relationship or friendship, than risk making a terrible mistake.

· You’re single and have lost all hope of finding love. Everyone else you know seems to have a partner, prompting you to wonder ‘What the hell is wrong with me?’

· You’re full of regrets about the past, and often fantasise about all the things you’d do differently if you could only go back in time. You frequently have thoughts that start with the phrase ‘If only….’

· You find it hard to recover from loss. Whether it’s a relationship or friendship ending, the death of a beloved pet, or being made redundant from work, deep feelings of pain, hurt or humiliation can seem impossible to shake.

· You’re a ‘people pleaser’, who avoids conflict like the plague!

Practice description

How I can help.

  • · Instead of feeling stuck in a loop of regretting the past or dreading the future, I’ll help you identify the life you want to live now, explore the blocks that are preventing it, and find the courage to make the changes you want.

· I’ll help you to know your own mind - teaching you how to trust your gut instincts, kick unhelpful fears to the kerb, and enable you to make decisions with confidence.

· You’ll learn how to turn down the volume on your ‘inner critic’ - the thoughts in your head that keeps saying you’re not good enough. Together we’ll explore why your inner critic exists, what it really wants, and you'll finally learn how to feel better about yourself.

About me and my therapy practice

Feeling stuck and longing for change, but not sure how to go about it? An experienced counsellor, I help people to understand what is holding them back, and how to move forward. So if you're struggling with difficult feelings such as anxiety, sadness, frustration or fear, I can help you explore and overcome them in a warm and non-judgemental environment.

I also specialise in supporting bereaved pet owners following the loss of their pet. Trained in Pet Loss Support with animal welfare charity The Blue Cross, I know the death of a companion animal – no matter how big or small – can be heartbreaking. I offer a space for you to share your feelings and to honour the relationship you had with your special companion.

Practice description

I don’t give advice and I won’t tell you what to do, but I won’t leave you to flounder alone either. In therapy, I aim to provide a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and problems in confidence, develop a greater understanding of yourself, and be supported to consider the changes you may wish to make in your life.
