I provide both online and face to face counselling. I also offer walk and talk therapy. Current clients say they value the choice and many opt for a blended approach.

About me and my therapy practice

There are times in life when we all need support. By creating a safe, empathic environment I enable you to process tough emotions and come to terms with them. Normalising difficult feelings and finding healthy ways to express them is particularly beneficial for building resilience and moving forward.

Therapy sessions are confidential. This means that you can talk about things you might not feel able to discuss with anyone else, in a safe environment, knowing you will not be judged. As your therapist, I will aim to help you find better ways to cope and bring about changes to improve your mental and emotional wellbeing.

I have considerable experience of helping people with anxiety, depression, feeling sad, panic attacks, low self-esteem, and family issues. I am an experienced bereavement counsellor and worked for a number of years supporting bereaved family members, of all ages, in a hospice setting. I also work with clients who use the 12 step recovery programmes for addictions to alcohol, drugs, gambling, food, eating disorders, and other related issues.

As an integrative therapist, I use different techniques from a range of therapeutic models to suit each client and their individual circumstances. This model allows me to respond to you in a way that will best fit your needs and empower you to process even the most challenging emotions. Listening to your questions and beliefs about counselling at the outset is crucial as it will enable us to form a trusting relationship which forms the basis for positive therapeutic work.

I have extensive experience of supporting children and young people as I worked as a counsellor in a primary school for a number of years.

I also help couples who face difficulties in their relationships to gain insight into their challenges, improve their communication, and develop clarity about where they want their relationship to be.

About me and my therapy practice

I am currently undertaking a Post Graduate Certificate at the University of Salford in Clinical Supervision drawing on the seven eyed model. As a part of this training, I am offering supervision to qualified counsellors on a donation basis.

Practice description

I have a relational approach to supervision and am warm, supportive and knowledgeable enabling me to work with supervisees in a collaborative and creative way.
