I have 10 years of experience with working with clients therapeutically and more years of experience working in the mental health sector on a voluntary basis or as a support worker working in hospitals. I'm also a qualified Clinical Supervisor who supports therapists' and their counselling work.

Practice description

I prefer clients to view me as a genuinely wanting to help, which is why I became a therapist in the first place. I'm passionate about helping people feel heard and I believe it to be a privilege to work alongside clients. I've had many moments where clients have felt safe to be themselves with me and witness client growth through the work we'd done together. I hope to make clients feel part of a team with working with myself and feeling free to gain their desired support needs.

About me and my therapy practice

As a Clinical Counselling Supervisor, I think it’s important to feel thoroughly supported and to be able to enjoy and relax in supervision. I like to create an environment where supervisees can learn but also work in a collaborative way. I encourage supervisees to bring client cases they wish to explore and/or gain help with supporting. I also believe being ethical is crucial to the work with do as therapists, this would also be incorporated into the work with do together. Supervisees have often described feeling comfortable, safe, and learn a lot from the supervision sessions. I can work with individuals and groups in supervision. I have extensive experience working with trainees and qualified therapists.

Fees:

£50 per 1 hour session for individuals

£70 per 1.5 hours session for individuals

£90 per 1 hour of group supervision

£120 per 1.5 hours of group supervision

Practice description

Supervisees can expect lots of support and genuine care for the work they do as a therapist. They can look forward to the work we do together and the process that can help support their practice. Transferable knowledge and input from the supervision for supervisees practice is a large part of what occurs in the sessions. I am a very enthusiastic supervisor who enjoys the work I do and can offer a friendly, educational, and collaborative space.

My first session

The first session would consist of discussing what the supervisee’s current work is and what on-going support they desire from the supervision. It would give time to reflect on what supervision they’ve had so far and what they would like for their future supervision sessions. I’m able to answer any questions that you may have and discuss what you’re like as a therapist. It is most important to feel fully informed and aware of what I can offer after a first session.
