About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified professional clinical supervisor and have achieved level 7 Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision. I provide high quality professional clinical supervision for qualified and trainee counsellors, psychotherapists and therapists, working within private practice and organisations. Together, we will explore your clinical casework and support your professional and personal development needs. I offer individual and group supervision and can assist supervisees in creating their own peer to peer groups.

Practice description

I typically provide 90 minute supervision sessions in line with BACP recommendations for £75 and also offer additional 60 minute sessions for £55. I can offer a discounted rate for trainees. Supervision is widely seen in the UK as a fundamental as part of providing safe and effective professional counselling and psychotherapy services and is a requirement for registration with professional bodies such as the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. (BACP) (2020)

I provide a safe supportive environment for you to explore your client work including examining personal process, challenges, achievements and ethical issues that may arise. I mainly work online via video call. I can also work face to face in my locality of Weymouth.

Supervision may be particularly suited to person-centred therapists. I am considerate and open to all modalities and work with you collaboratively to discover what your professional and personal requirements may be. I recognise the importance of maintaining a quality supervisory working alliance (Bernard and Goodyear, 2014) and building a trusting, reflective and experiential professional relationship.

My first session

In the first session we will discuss what you are looking for in supervision and whether you are a qualified professional therapist, counsellor or psychotherapist looking for a different style of supervision or a trainee therapist, perhaps about to embark on a new counselling placement.

We will discuss your professional practice and whether you are working privately, within an organisational setting or through EAP companies and charities and what the organisational, educational or individual requirements are.

We will also complete an agreement together and discuss fees and length and frequency of the sessions. I will also share how I work and the collaborative nature of the supervision sessions.
