Availability
I work in person in Wimbledon on Thursdays, and online via Zoom on all other working days, including Fridays.
I take on a small number of clients and supervisees at any one time, so availability does shift. If I am fully booked when you reach out, I keep a waitlist and will let you know as soon as space opens.
Alongside ongoing weekly and fortnightly work, I offer structured blocks of couples sessions, four, six or eight sessions, built for the couples who arrive already at the brink, genuinely unsure if this can work. Many of you have unconventional lives and relationships too, and that complexity is welcome here. These blocks are for focused, deliberate work on a specific pattern or cycle, rather than an open-ended commitment. For couples wanting deeper, sustained work, I also offer The Ten, a ten-session intensive.
If you are unsure which format is right for you, the clarity call is the best first step: twenty minutes for individuals or thirty for couples, £45 and £60, to talk it through directly before deciding anything. If you go on to book your first full session within fourteen days, that cost is credited towards it.
I will always let you know honestly if I am not the right fit, or if my current availability does not suit your timeline, rather than keep you waiting.
About me and my therapy practice
I'm Emma. Psychotherapist, couples therapist, and someone who believes therapy should never feel sterile.
I work with people who are done with surface-level conversations. You've done some of the work already- maybe read the books, maybe sat across from another therapist before- and you're still circling the same pattern. That's not a failure on your part. It usually means the work hasn't gone deep enough yet.
My approach is integrative. Attachment theory, parts work, somatic awareness, held together by a decade of clinical practice. Spiritual integration is available too, when meaningful to you, never instead of the clinical work, always alongside it. In practice, that might mean sitting with the bigger questions life keeps asking, what it means to belong to yourself, to grieve well, to find meaning in what's hardest, or simply making space for stillness in a life that rarely offers any. I'm dual-accredited with BACP and NCPS and still studying because I stay a student of this work, always.
Whether you come to me alone or with a partner, the work is equally close to my heart. With individuals, that often looks like inner child pain that's never had language, relationship patterns you keep pinning on everyone else, a body that's been running on survival for so long it forgot there's another way to live. With couples, I sit with people genuinely unsure if this can work, carrying years of the same argument, lives that don't fit a textbook model. Alongside ongoing sessions, I offer structured blocks of four, six, or eight sessions for couples wanting focused, deliberate work on a specific cycle. For deeper work, there's also The Ten, a ten-session intensive.
I attune quickly, and I'll always be honest with you about what I'm noticing, gently, but honestly. Not uptight. We laugh in here too.
I see into the places you stopped looking, and I'd be glad to help you find your way home to yourself.
Practice description
Sessions run for 50 minutes, in person in Wimbledon on Thursdays, or online via Zoom on all other working days.
Your first step is a clarity call: twenty minutes for individuals or thirty for couples, £45 and £60. It's a chance to speak directly, get a feel for how I work, and decide together whether this is the right fit, before committing to anything more. If you book your first full session within fourteen days, that cost is credited towards it.
I don't work to a single fixed rhythm. The structure is tailored to what you actually need. Often that looks like six sessions weekly to build momentum, then moving to fortnightly or every three weeks as things settle, but it always depends on your own goals, and the blocks and resistances that show up along the way, which are never your fault, and some might even call divine timing.
For couples wanting something more contained, I also offer structured blocks, four, six or eight sessions, built around a specific pattern or cycle you want to work through with intention. For deeper, sustained work, there's The Ten, a ten-session couples intensive.
Cancellations require 48 hours' notice, except for the clarity call, which requires 24 hours.
I take on a small number of clients and supervisees at any one time. If I'm fully booked when you reach out, I'll let you know honestly, and keep you on a waitlist if that suits you.
Confidentiality is held to the standards set out by BACP and NCPS, and I'll always talk you through what that means and where its limits sit before we begin.
That's a lot of practical detail for one section, I know. Somewhere underneath all of it is an actual human, not just a set of policies.
My first session
Your first individual session is £195, higher than the ongoing rate of £150, as it runs a little differently. We'll spend time properly understanding what's brought you here, your history, your patterns, what you're hoping will shift, alongside the more practical groundwork, consent, confidentiality, and how we'll work together going forward.
For couples, the first session is £220, higher than the ongoing rate of £175, reflecting the extra depth required to properly hear two histories and two perspectives from the outset.
If you've had a clarity call and book within fourteen days, that cost is credited straight off. For individuals, that brings your first session down to £150, level with the ongoing rate. For couples, it brings your first session to £160, still below the ongoing rate.
The first session is a bit of both structure and conversation. There's some background gathering, so I have a real sense of you and your history, but it never feels like a formal intake form. It's still a space to be heard, from the very first session.
