After raising my children over the last 28 years, not only has it been a joy, but life has also thrown me in all sorts of different directions and has offered me lots of different life experiences and challenges, which has contributed to my passion in wanting to support you in overcome yours.
BACP Accredited & Registered Person Centred Counsellor, CPCAB qualified Therapeutic Supervisor, supporting individuals from different cultures, backgrounds & different beliefs, maintaining professional standards in accordance with the BACP's Ethical Framework for Good Practice & compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations.

During our sessions I will be working in a Person Centred Approach/Skills, which will enable us to build a therapeutic relationship, facilitating the flow of communication, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of your own process, challenges, your feelings, emotions, identifying patterns of behaviour, enabling a deeper level of clarity and understanding, enabling you the autonomy to help you navigate through difficult times, feel emotionally supported and listened to, find yourself again, work towards a more authentic self, have a better understanding of your reaction, explore ways in which to better self-manage, setting healthier boundaries and healthier habits, to help create a healthier balance, enabling you to be more present, feel confident in your decisions, build confidence in yourself and create healthier relationship with friends and family. We will discuss your progress along the way, to encourage further self-development and ensure that the therapy is working for you. The aim of this form of counselling, is to work alongside you to build courage, self-belief and confidence where needed, to begin trusting in your inner resources, to help you find the answers and feel better about yourself, to move you in the right direction. It allows you to become more reflective of your own journey, more self-accepting and a greater understanding of your own self.

As a Therapeutic/Clinical Supervisor I offer a multi-layered role, creating a reflective and ethically bound relationship to ensure safe, effective and continually improving your therapeutic practice, in line with Hawkins & Shohet’s 7 Eyed Model and the use of Solution focused interventions, whilst maintaining personal & professional boundaries, sustaining standards of practice, challenging safely, giving and receiving feedback, establishing the your/supervisee’s professional needs and working alliance, considering limits of confidentiality, data protection, assists you in making sense of your client material, help you evaluate what’s working and what isn’t, providing you with emotional support when work is challenging, encourages healthy boundaries and self-care, ensuring the you meet organisational, legal, and ethical requirements, encourages self-awareness and resilience, helping you identify countertransference, encourage you to manage stress and burnout, support you to feel safe, grounded and reflective in your own practice.

Practice description
As the Supervisee you will be responsible for preparing for sessions, engaging openly and honestly, and bringing both clinical work and personal, relevant reactions to supervision, reflect on how personal issues or history might affect client work and bring these to supervision without turning the session into personal therapy, take responsibility for your own practice and actively participate in evaluating your performance and discuss any potential ethical dilemmas or challenges, you will maintain accurate records of your supervision hours to meet professional requirements. We will create a therapeutic supervision contract to support in setting expectations, boundaries, defines our roles and maintain safety of both parties, agree how often we will meet, location and format, agreeing fees and cancellation policy.
