About me and my therapy practice
Hi,
I'm Sacha, welcome to my profile.
I know considering therapy and finding a therapist can be daunting, sometimes we don’t know why we need the support, just that we do. Taking the first step can take courage and even more so if we do not feel brave or strong and I would like to acknowledge this with you because you are here now.
Life experiences, whether they are current, recent or historic can weigh us down and impact on our daily lives and I will tailor my support to meet your needs, so you are able to move forward when you feel ready. This is work we do together as a partnership, within the therapeutic relationship.
I work as a person-centered, integrative counsellor with many years of experience within therapy and mental health services. I use aspects from various counselling and psychotherapy theories to best support you, depending on what you need.
I am not here to judge or tell you what to do and I will support you to find any answers you might need. I will respect you and be empathic and compassionate whilst providing you with a warm, friendly and safe environment to explore your innermost thoughts and feelings.
My core work and training have been in trauma and abuse of all forms however I am also experienced in relationship issues, loss, grief, OCD, anxiety, disability and health related difficulties amongst other issues.
I work with survivors of domestic abuse including those who have been or are going through the court process. I am not qualified to give you advice on legal matters, but I understand the complexities and impact such proceedings and situations can have.
Practice description
I and my colleague Susan founded Sands partnership in 2017 as we wanted to share our learning, support and experience within a therapeutic setting for those needing one to one therapy.
I predominantly work online to offer video and phone sessions and occasionally web chat / email sessions if required.
Sessions last 50 minutes and would usually be once a week however we are aware this is not always needed or wanted.
We work within the BACP guidelines and adhere to GDPR data protection.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute video meeting or phone call where we can discuss your needs and see if we feel comfortable working together.
There will also be an assessment and contract to discuss during this time however I will send you this information in advance.
If you have any questions or accessibility issues, please just let me know.
