About me and my therapy practice
Counselling for change, loss, identity and the transitions of life.
Life can be complicated, beautiful, painful and messy — sometimes all at once. You don't have to be in crisis to need somewhere to make sense of it.
I'm Victoria, a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering a warm, compassionate and sometimes gently challenging space to explore whatever life is bringing.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, and the lasting impact of violence and abuse. I have a particular interest in women's lives and the transitions that can reshape our sense of self — from fertility struggles, pregnancy and loss to matrescence, motherhood, (peri)menopause, and life beyond fertility. I welcome the complicated feelings and difficult choices that don't always fit neatly into other people's, or indeed our own, expectations.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed and rooted in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. We can explore the things that feel stuck, question the expectations you've carried, and make space for who you are now — not just who you've been, or who you feel you should be.
You don't need to have the right words, a clear goal or a story that makes sense yet. You are welcome to come as you are.
Practice description
Sessions are shaped around you, rather than a fixed formula. Whether you need time to untangle something difficult, understand recurring patterns or simply be heard without judgement, we can work together at your pace. My aim is to make counselling feel human, collaborative and accessible — a space where you can bring all of yourself, including the parts you may find difficult to share elsewhere.
I currently offer online and in person sessions, that last 50 minutes usually on a weekly basis.
I also offer one off sessions if you have a particular problem you would like to discuss.
Sessions are £75.
My first session
There is a little bit of paper work to do... So that we are both agreed on expectations and how we work together, we will sign an agreement, I'll talk you through my approach to confidentiality, safeguarding and how I manage your data safely.
We will also do a more thorough assessment of what you are bringing. This isn't a test, it helps me make sure that I am aware of what you are bringing and that I am the right person to help you.
