About me and my therapy practice
I’m a qualified counsellor and single mum, specialising in supporting anyone parenting alone, including single parents, adoptive parents, kinship carers, or those who have lost a partner. I also provide domestic abuse support and help clients manage co-parenting stress, burnout, anxiety, low mood, and major life transitions. I offer flexible counselling sessions online, by phone, or in-person in Bradford-on-Avon, including school-hour and evening appointments.
I qualified as a counsellor in 2018, and a few years later, after a challenging relationship breakdown while my children were young, I became a single parent myself. This lived experience gives me a deep understanding of the pressures, emotional stress, and practical challenges faced by solo parents and carers. It informs my warm, down-to-earth, and conversational approach, helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered.
My approach is person-centred with existential influences, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings, reflect on their experiences, and develop practical strategies to cope with the demands of solo parenting and life changes. I aim to help clients reduce overwhelm, build resilience, and regain balance.
I work primarily online and by phone, with in-person sessions in central Bradford-on-Avon, and offer flexible scheduling to accommodate busy parents and carers. My standard fee is £60 per 50 mins session, with a reduced rate available for those who need it.
