About me and my therapy practice

I offer a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity and a belief that therapy should feel safe, collaborative and centred around what matters most to you. I support adults, children and young people, adapting my approach to meet the needs of each individual.

Clients come to me for help with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, identity, work‑related stress and the emotional impact of caring or leadership roles. I understand how overwhelming life can feel when you are carrying a lot, and I aim to provide a steady, non‑judgemental presence while we make sense of what you are experiencing.

My approach is integrative and person‑centred, drawing on relational, creative and reflective therapies. This means I tailor each session to you — whether that involves talking therapy, creative exploration, grounding techniques, or structured reflection. I work in a way that is gentle but purposeful, helping you understand your feelings, develop coping strategies and move toward greater clarity and wellbeing.

Sessions can be short‑term or long‑term, online or face‑to‑face in my dedicated counselling room. You can expect warmth, respect and a space where your voice is central. My aim is to help you feel heard, supported and empowered as we work together toward the changes you hope to make.

Practice description

My practice offers a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can talk openly about what you are experiencing, without judgement or pressure. I work with adults, children and young people, and tailor each session to your individual needs, pace and goals.

Clients come to me for support with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, identity, work‑related stress and the emotional impact of caring roles or leadership responsibilities. I understand how overwhelming life can feel when you are carrying a lot, and my role is to provide a steady, compassionate presence while we explore what is happening for you.

My approach is integrative and person‑centred, drawing on creative, relational and reflective therapies. This means I adapt how I work depending on what feels most helpful for you — whether that’s talking therapy, creative exploration, grounding techniques or structured reflection. Sessions can be short‑term or long‑term, online or face‑to‑face in my dedicated counselling room.

You can expect a warm, respectful environment where your experiences are taken seriously and where you are supported to make sense of your feelings, develop coping strategies and move toward greater clarity and wellbeing. I work collaboratively, believing that therapy is most effective when it feels like a partnership.

My first session

Your first session is a gentle introduction to the counselling process. It’s a chance for you to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. I will ask a few questions to help me understand your situation, but there is no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to. You set the pace.

During this session, we will explore what feels most important for you right now and begin to identify the areas you may want support with — whether that’s anxiety, low mood, bereavement, relationship concerns, work stress, or something less easy to name. You can also ask any questions about how I work, the types of therapy I offer, and what ongoing sessions might look like.

We will discuss practical details such as confidentiality, session length, fees, and whether you prefer online or face‑to‑face appointments. If you’re supporting a child or young person, I will explain how sessions are structured and how we balance their privacy with appropriate parental involvement.

By the end of the first session, you should have a clearer sense of whether I am the right fit for you and whether the space feels comfortable and supportive. There is no obligation to continue — the decision is entirely yours. My aim is simply to offer a calm, respectful environment where you can begin to feel heard and understood.
