About me and my therapy practice

Relationship Counselling for Couples and Individuals

Are you feeling stuck in the same arguments or drifting further apart? If your relationship has started to feel like a minefield of arguments, or if you've stopped talking altogether and feel more like roommates than partners, you may be both carrying a deep sense of loneliness, hurt and frustration.  You might even be wondering whether it is time to separate.

Most relationships face challenges at some point. You may be coping with the impact of an affair, adjusting to a major life change, struggling to feel connected, or questioning the future of your relationship. Whatever brings you to therapy, I offer a space to explore what is happening and what you need moving forward.

My approach is warm and down to earth, I provide a calm, impartial space where both partners can feel heard without blame, judgement, or taking sides. Together, we'll explore what's happening beneath the arguments, uncover the patterns keeping you stuck, and work towards greater understanding, connection, and mutual respect.

Whether you are looking to improve your relationship, navigate a separation or develop a new relationship, you are in the right place.

I am a Relate-trained relationship counsellor with 10 years  experience supporting couples through conflict, communication difficulties, life transitions, breaches of trust, separation decisions, and long-standing relationship challenges.

Practice description

I offer collaborative, inclusive, and anti-discriminatory counselling for individuals and couples from all backgrounds. My practice welcomes people of all cultures, sexualities, relationship structures, and gender identities.

No two relationships are the same, so our work together will be tailored to your unique circumstances, strengths, and goals.

I offer a range of ways of working:

Single Session Therapy

A focused 60- or 90-minute session designed to help you gain clarity, explore options, and identify practical next steps.

Short-Term Therapy

Structured support over an agreed number of sessions to help you navigate a specific challenge, decision, or life transition.

Longer-Term Therapy

A deeper exploration of long-standing relationship patterns, family influences, attachment experiences, and recurring difficulties, allowing meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

My first session

Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, particularly when things already feel tense or uncertain. Our initial session is designed to lower the pressure.

To help you get started I offer a free initial half hour online or telephone appointment where we will discuss what has brought you to therapy and for you to ask me any questions.

By the end of our meeting, you'll have a clear sense of how I work and whether counselling with me feels like the right fit for you.
