Availability

My hours are Monday to Thursday from 10:30 to 20:30 subject to availability. I provide sessions face to face from my therapy room located at Cheldgate House on Rochester High St and I also provide sessions online.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor providing long term and short term counselling for adults. I originally qualified as a Counsellor at the esteemed and BACP Accredited  Inter-Psyche Institute based within the NHS Kent and Medway Mental Health Trust and I  achieved my Diploma in Integrative Counselling with Credit.

My training as an integrative and humanistic counsellor is based on empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard. I provide a confidential, calm and non-judgemental environment for you to talk, for me to listen, and for us to work together in a safe space.

I believe that evidence based psychological therapies along with an integrative and humanistic counselling approach allows for flexibility in dealing with each individual's needs. The therapeutic relationship is key for the process of change and recovery.

Practice description

My background in working for organisations across London and Kent has given me a particular understanding of the emotional challenges many of us face including depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship and family issues...and other challenges that feel less definable such as a sense of feeling lost, or perhaps at a crossroads in life.

Having spent several years working for the mental health charity MIND, I have also previously worked alongside the Royal Institute of British Architects for employment/wellbeing related matters. I enjoy developing my practice with my commitment to continuing professional development and training.

All sessions are 50 minutes in duration and charged at £50 per session. Payment can be made in advance via bank transfer or paid in cash on the day (receipts provided.)

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation prior to any commitment of booking a session - this allows you to decide if I would be the right person for you to work with.

Sessions are then offered as face to face, online or by telephone depending on your preference and subject to availability.

Prior to our first session, I email my contract agreement over to you which you're free to send back to me in advance or bring along on the day. A paper based well being assessment will form part of your first session and give you the opportunity to identify what you are hoping to achieve from our sessions, we will then use this as the foundation of our work together.
