About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, collaborative, and reflective therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace and in ways that feel safe and meaningful to them.

My foundation is person-centred psychotherapy, rooted in the belief that each person has the capacity for growth, healing and self-understanding when met with empathy, acceptance and a genuine therapeutic relationship. Alongside this core approach, I draw integratively from attachment theory, relational and psychodynamic thinking, transactional analysis, psychoeducation and practical therapeutic tools where helpful.

I work with adults and young people presenting with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, identity exploration, relationship difficulties, stress, neurodivergence, life transitions and emotional overwhelm. My approach is trauma-informed and sensitive to the impact that past experiences, family relationships and social environments can have on present well-being.

As both a practising psychotherapist and creative professional, I have a particular interest in working with performing artists, creatives and individuals navigating questions of identity, visibility, purpose, performance pressure and self-expression. However, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and aim to adapt therapy to each person’s unique needs, values and goals.

I believe therapy is not about fixing people but creating the conditions for deeper awareness, greater self-compassion and lasting change. Together, we may explore patterns, emotions, and relationships while building insight, resilience, and a stronger connection to your authentic sense of self.

Sessions are available online and in person.

*In-person sessions are priced at £95

Practice description

Starting therapy can feel like a significant step, and I aim to offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and able to explore what matters to you.

My core approach is person-centred, meaning I believe each person has the capacity for growth and change when supported within a trusting therapeutic relationship. I work collaboratively and adapt therapy to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Alongside person-centred psychotherapy, I draw integratively from attachment-informed, relational and psychodynamic perspectives, transactional analysis, psychoeducation and practical therapeutic tools where appropriate. I work in a trauma-informed way and recognise how early experiences, relationships and life events can influence the way we experience ourselves and others.

I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, identity questions, life transitions and neurodivergence. I also have experience supporting clients with attachment-related concerns, stress, confidence and self-development.

Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I have a longstanding background in the creative and performing arts. This gives me a particular understanding of the pressures that can accompany creative work, performance, identity, visibility and balancing personal and professional selves. I welcome performers, creatives and those working in demanding or public-facing environments, while also working with clients from all walks of life.

My intention is to provide a space where you feel able to explore openly, develop greater self-awareness and move towards meaningful and lasting change.

Sessions are available online and in person.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, explore what has brought you to therapy and consider whether working together feels like the right fit. I understand that beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar or daunting, so I aim to create a welcoming and relaxed space where there is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable.

During this session, I will invite you to talk about your current concerns, what you would like support with and any relevant background information that may help me understand your experiences. We may also explore previous experiences of therapy, your hopes for the process and any goals you may have, although therapy does not require you to have everything figured out in advance.

I will explain how I work, discuss practical information such as confidentiality and its limits, session structure and answer any questions you may have. This session also gives us both an opportunity to consider whether my approach feels suitable for your needs.

I may ask you to complete a brief assessment or intake form before we begin to gather relevant information and ensure therapy is appropriate and safe.

There is no obligation to continue after the first session. Finding the right therapeutic relationship is important, and I encourage clients to take time to reflect on whether they feel comfortable moving forward.

Sessions are available online and in person.
