About me and my therapy practice
A safe space to understand yourself, feel better and move forward
Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious or low. Maybe you’re struggling with something that has happened to you, finding relationships difficult, or simply feeling that life has become harder than it should be. Sometimes, you may not even know exactly what is wrong, you just know that you don’t feel like yourself.
I’m an experienced therapist with over 10 years of continuous experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and with difficulties ranging from mild to more complex and severe mental health presentations. Alongside my private practice, I also work within the NHS, giving me thousands of hours of experience supporting people through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, as well as difficulties with self-esteem, relationships, emotions, life changes and many other challenges.
I offer a warm, compassionate and genuinely non-judgemental space where you can be yourself without having to pretend that everything is okay. You can talk openly, at your own pace, knowing that you will be listened to and taken seriously.
My main therapeutic approach is Person-Centred Therapy, which means I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to work alongside you to understand what you need and what will help. I have also undertaken extensive additional training, which means I can draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and psychological theories when appropriate.
What this means for you is that your therapy can be genuinely tailored to you, your experiences, your personality, your circumstances and the changes you want to make.
I’d be very happy to help you explore what is bringing you to therapy and, together, work towards you feeling more understood, grounded, confident and able to cope with whatever life brings.

My first session
Past clients have commented that my way of working helps them to feel accepted, understood and respected. This helps to build a relationship where clients can be honest and open about their issues and supports a depth of work where long lasting change can be found. I greatly believe that this depth of relationship is one of the most important elements to facilitate change for you. This is why I believe it is important for clients to have an initial introductory session to enable them to see whether I am someone they will feel comfortable working with. To enable you to help make your decision whether I am the right therapist for you I offer an initial 30 minute introductory session for £20.
