About me and my therapy practice
You may appear to cope on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or exhausted underneath. Perhaps you spend much of your time looking after others, saying yes when you want to say no, or worrying about getting things wrong. Over time this can leave you feeling drained, invisible, or unsure who you are anymore. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.
I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, burnout, and the impact of difficult or painful experiences. Many of the people I support are used to being the “strong one” for everyone else and find it hard to prioritise their own needs. Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to hold everything together.
My approach is integrative and relational, which means I adapt the way I work to suit you as an individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Building a safe, trusting relationship is at the heart of therapy, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Alongside understanding your experiences and patterns, I can also offer practical tools where helpful to support you in managing anxiety, setting boundaries, and coping day to day.
Clients often tell me they feel calmer, clearer, and more confident as therapy progresses. You may begin to understand yourself more deeply, develop a stronger sense of self-worth, and feel better equipped to make choices that support your wellbeing and relationships.
Practice description
I qualified in 2018 and have experience working in different settings.
I offer sessions online, outdoors and in person. Each way of working has it's own benefits:
Online sessions are often convenient with no travel and in the comfort of your own surroundings.
Outdoor sessions can feel calming, walking side by side in nature.
In-person sessions provide a space for containment, where you can step away from daily pressures and focus fully on yourself in a dedicated, confidential setting.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, and the effects of emotionally harmful relationships.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regular supervision to ensure safe and effective practice.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you are used to managing on your own. You are welcome to contact me for an initial conversation so we can discuss what you’re looking for and whether I might be the right person to support you.
There is no obligation, just a chance to ask questions and take the first step.
My first session
The first session is chance for us to meet and see if I'm the right fit for you, it's an opportunity to ask any questions (although questions are always welcome!) and talk about what you are looking for from counselling. I may ask a few more direct questions than I normally would to find out about your experiences and the support system around you.
