About me and my therapy practice

I believe that developing our self-awareness is fundamental, if we are to achieve the happiness and fulfilment we desire in our lives.

I offer you a space that is safe, supportive and non-judgmental where you can discover, explore and understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I understand this may take time and I am, therefore, aware of the importance of working at your pace to facilitate healthy, lasting and positive outcomes.

Working as an integrative psychotherapeutic practitioner I have developed an interest in helping my clients understand how their early relationships with parents, carers, family, and peers shape how they relate to others and impact their current relationships. As a result, I have experience of helping clients who have faced depression, anxiety, low self-worth, identity issues, work-related stress, substance and behavioural addictions, and anger problems. I understand how they can all be connected to thoughts and feelings that developed in early childhood.

I am Senior Therapist and Therapeutic Programme Manager at an East London charity and work in Private Practice at The Awareness Centre in Tooting.

Practice description

For over 10 years I worked as an Independent Service Provider in schools and Pupil Referral Units delivering mentoring and self-development programmes that enabled young people to make positive life choices. While helping young people manage problematic behaviour I recognised the importance of providing ‘here and now’ coping strategies as they identified and addressed the underlying cause.

I now apply this knowledge and skill in my therapeutic practice, successfully bringing together aspects of the different types of therapy in a way that is sensitive to each client’s individual need.

Through living and working in a multi-cultural environment as both mentor and therapist, I have developed a knowledge and understanding that allow me to work empathically and effectively with a wide range of client groups.

My first session

I am able to offer you a free 30-minute online consultation at a time convenient to us both. It will provide us with an opportunity to discuss why you have reached out, what you would like to achieve, and how we might work together.

If you decide that you would like to work with me, I will arrange our first session. During this session I will gather some basic information about you such your age, occupation, where you live, important relationships, and then very gently begin to detail the difficulties you are experiencing.

Our sessions will last for 50 minutes and will take place on the same day and time each week.
