About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome; my name is Rhiannon. I'm a relational integrative therapist based in Margate. I work with both individuals and couples.
You may be considering therapy for various reasons, be that relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, anxiety, stress, or you may feel stuck and unable to harness your full potential. In all these instances therapy can help to unpack your difficulties and gain a new perspective and clarity on a situation.
The strength of the relationship between myself and my clients is central to my practice. It is essential that you feel comfortable with the person you're working with. I nurture my clients trust, and create a non-judgemental, safe, supportive and open-minded space.
I’m not what’s called a “blank screen therapist”; I bring myself to our work, and I engage in a here-and-now dialogue with my clients. I see therapy as a collaborative process and I always encourage honest and open feedback.
What is relational integrative psychotherapy?
Relational psychotherapy emphasises the importance of relationships and their influence on our wellbeing. In therapy this involves; using our therapeutic relationship as a tool for building self-awareness and healing, whilst also exploring your relationships past and present, to help you better understand your relational patterns with yourself and others.
Being an integrative therapist means I tailor our work to your individual needs. I draw from different psychotherapeutic models, namely psychodynamic, humanistic and somatic approaches.
Practice description
My work is underpinned by my commitment to diversity and inclusion. I am a neurodivergent affirming therapist. I welcome clients from all cultures, gender identities, sexualities and relationships styles.
I work from a trauma-informed perspective, holding in mind the impact that trauma can have on relationships, emotional regulation and behavioural patterns.
