About me and my therapy practice
I’m Kate Holmes, a qualified, experienced counsellor , accredited as a Registered Member (MBACP Accred) . I work with Couples and Individuals both face-to-face and online, offering a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore and work through the challenges you’re facing. My practice is based in Surrey, with sessions available in Farnham and Haslemere, as well as remotely.
I’ve worked across a range of settings, including rehabilitation services, GP surgeries and specialist treatment centres, and I’m fully conversant with the 12-step recovery approach to addiction work. Prior to entering therapy, I worked in the corporate sector, bringing an understanding of workplace stress and life pressures into my therapeutic practice.
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy (Dip.CPCAB) and am committed to ongoing professional development, clinical supervision and maintaining up-to-date practice standards.

Practice description
Therapeutic Style and Values
I offer a warm, respectful and collaborative environment where you are encouraged to explore your experiences at your own pace. Whether your concerns feel longstanding or have arisen recently, therapy is a space to build self-awareness, resilience and meaningful change.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, depending on your needs.
Sessions are a space for you to talk openly about whats troubling you, whether thats something specific or a more general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected. Some sessions may feel reflective and exploratory, while others may be more focused and practical.
My first session
Our first session is a chance to explore whats brought you to therapy and for you to see whether I feel like the right fit. We'll also cover confidentiality and boundaries and how we might work together. Theres No obligation to continue beyond this session.
