About me and my therapy practice
With over sixteen years of experience, I support clients from diverse backgrounds, including those with ASD and ADHD, who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about where they belong. I work with concerns such as anxiety, trauma, and depression, offering a space where you feel understood and supported. Together, we gently explore the emotional patterns shaping your life, creating room for clarity, self-understanding, and meaningful change. My approach is warm, affirming, and culturally attuned, honouring both your individuality and the communities that shape you while helping you reconnect with your strengths and move forward with confidence and ease.
Practice description
I offer an integrative and thoughtfully tailored therapeutic experience for individuals seeking depth, clarity, and enduring psychological growth. Combining CBT with relational insight, I support the development of emotional complexity, self-trust, and more conscious ways of living and relating, fostering resilience and a steadier sense of self.
Reaching out for therapy is a significant step. Grounded in nuance, discretion, and transformative care, I offer a confidential space where you are met with warmth and respect, and your experiences can be explored at your own pace. With cultural sensitivity, I support meaningful, lasting change.
I am registered with several insurance providers, allowing you to access therapy with greater flexibility and ease. Please feel welcome to enquire about the insurers I work with, and I will be happy to provide further details.
The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another in a calm, supportive, and confidential setting. We will gently explore what has brought you to therapy, any current challenges you may be facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable and you are welcome to move at a pace that feels right for you.
I will also ask some thoughtful questions to better understand your history, relationships, and emotional wellbeing so that we can develop a clear and meaningful direction for our work together. Many clients find that simply having space to speak openly brings an initial sense of relief.
You are encouraged to ask questions and get a sense of how it feels to work together, as the therapeutic relationship is central to effective therapy. By the end of the session, we will consider the next steps and whether continuing feels supportive and aligned with your needs.
You are warmly invited to reach out when you feel ready.
