About me and my therapy practice
Are you looking for support with disordered eating, body image and/or eating disorders? I specialize supporting people with these challenges and have a trauma-informed integrative approach.
I also have expertise in working with anxiety, grief and loss, depression, ADHD, autism and emotional dysregulation.
My name is Anna and I aim to support you in exploring your issues, emotions and beliefs, and help you to gain insight and autonomy so you can work towards managing both present and future challenges independently.
I have experience working with a range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, eating disorders and disordered eating, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ issues, family dynamics, body image, clinical perfectionism, grief and loss.
I specialize in eating disorders to support people struggling with binge eating, compulsive eating, bulimia, anorexia, compulsive exercising, OSFED and atypical presentations diagnosed and undiagnosed. I have completed the specialist training in both MANTRA and CBT-E.
Regardless of whether a diagnosis is present or not, I work with your unique struggles and presentation, exploring not only current struggles but their development, to help you gain a deeper understanding of your life’s journey, and find a path towards healing, to reclaim a healthy relationship with yourself, your body, food and/or exercise.
Practice description
I work in an integrative way, using a person-centered approach. Person-centered to me really means putting each person at the center of their therapeutic experience, with empathy and unconditional positive regard. To do this successfully, I may integrate methods from other approaches such as gestalt, compassion-focused or cognitive behavioral therapy into our sessions, allowing for a process that works best for you.
In my extensive experience in working with eating disorder recovery, I also integrate elements of the specialist training I have completed in this field; MANTRA and CBT-E.
Having worked in an inpatient environment, I also understand the significant risks eating disorders can pose to health and wellbeing, and I am passionate about helping people to learn different coping strategies and overcome these difficulties early, in hopes of preventing any hospital admission.
I am passionate about a holistic approach and the body & mind connection, understanding the overarching impact complex mental health difficulties can have.
Should we discover any challenges which are beyond my expertise, I will help you to connect with the right supports.
As a side note, having grown up outside the UK, I am able to offer a culturally-informed approach which you might find helpful. I can also offer therapy sessions in German
My first session

Therefore, I offer a free initially 20min online consultation, allowing us to meet each other, where you can tell me what you are looking for, I can explain how I work, you can ask any questions you may have, and we can see whether we are a good fit.
If we agree, we can then set up a first session and I will provide a therapy contract and ask you to fill out an initially assessment form, to help me understand your unique situation.
