About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is troubling you, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My approach is primarily person-centred, which means I believe that you are the expert on your own experiences. Rather than telling you what you should do, we can work together to understand what may be contributing to how you are feeling and explore what might help you move forward.
I work particularly with people experiencing anxiety, overthinking, low self-esteem, self-doubt and relationship difficulties. You may find yourself constantly questioning yourself, worrying about what might happen, replaying conversations or situations in your mind, or finding it difficult to switch off. Sometimes you may simply know that something doesn’t feel right but find it difficult to understand why.
Alongside talking things through, I can draw on approaches such as CBT, mindfulness and self-compassion where these may be helpful. This can include exploring patterns of thinking and behaviour, developing ways of managing anxiety and overthinking, and working towards greater confidence and trust in yourself.
I believe counselling works best when it is collaborative and tailored to the individual. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you are ready, and we can regularly review what you would like to get from counselling and whether our work together is helping.
Sessions are available online by video call or telephone, allowing you to access counselling from your own space wherever you are in the UK.
Practice description
I provide online counselling for adults across the UK, offering sessions by secure video call or telephone.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be struggling with anxiety or finding that your mind rarely switches off. You may spend a lot of time overthinking, worrying about the future, replaying conversations or questioning whether you have made the right decision.
You might be experiencing low self-esteem or self-doubt, finding yourself comparing yourself to others, seeking reassurance or worrying about what other people think of you. Difficulties within relationships, changes in your life or simply feeling overwhelmed can also leave you wanting somewhere to make sense of what you are experiencing.
Whatever brings you to counselling, you don't need to have everything worked out before getting in touch. Our sessions provide a confidential space where you can talk openly and begin to understand your thoughts, feelings and experiences more clearly.
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £55. I also offer a free introductory consultation, giving us an opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling, what you would like help with and whether working together feels right for you.
As my practice is fully online, you can access counselling from your own space without needing to travel. I work with clients throughout the UK and offer both daytime and evening appointments.
My first session
Your first counselling session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and to explore what has brought you to counselling.
We can talk about what you have been experiencing, how it has been affecting you and what you would like to gain from counselling. I may ask some questions to help me understand your current situation and what feels most important to you, but there is no expectation for you to share anything you are not ready to discuss.
We will also talk about how we might work together and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
The first session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at my usual fee of £55. Before booking a first counselling session, I also offer a free introductory consultation if you would like the opportunity to briefly discuss what you are looking for and see whether I may be the right counsellor for you.
