About me and my therapy practice
I offer online counselling for adults across the UK via Zoom or telephone.
Many people come to counselling feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt or relationship difficulties that are hard to shift alone. You may find yourself going over the same thoughts, struggling with confidence, or noticing similar difficulties repeating in your relationships or daily life.
Counselling provides a calm and supportive space to explore these experiences and begin understanding what may be driving them. Together we can look at the patterns that have developed over time and how they may be influencing the way you think, feel and relate to others.
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including those exploring identity, relationships and self-esteem.
My approach is thoughtful, collaborative and paced around you. I work in an integrative way, grounded primarily in person-centred counselling while also drawing on ideas from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural approaches (CBT), mindfulness and inner child work where these may be helpful.
Over time this process can lead to greater clarity, self-awareness and confidence, helping you respond differently to challenges and create meaningful change in your life.
Practice description
I aim to provide a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly about what is on your mind.
Sessions are guided by you and we can work at a pace that feels comfortable, whether that involves focusing on current difficulties or exploring deeper patterns over time.
Some sessions may feel more reflective, while others may be more focused on understanding specific situations or challenges. The process is flexible and shaped around your individual needs rather than following a fixed structure.
I understand that starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it is important that you feel safe and able to talk at your own pace. There is no expectation to share more than you feel ready to.
Over time many people find that counselling helps them develop a clearer understanding of themselves, feel more confident in how they respond to situations, and make changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting a sense of what has brought you to counselling and what you would like support with.
We will take some time to explore your current situation, any difficulties you are experiencing, and what you may hope to gain from counselling. There is no pressure to share everything at once, and we can go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
You are also welcome to ask any questions you may have about the process, how I work, or what to expect from ongoing sessions.
The first session is charged at the standard rate.
