About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Donna a dedicated and empathic therapist with over 10 years of experience in private practice. Clients often ask me, “does it work?” From my experience, it does work, and whilst this looks different for everyone, why not give it go and find out for yourself.
I wholeheartedly believe that everyone can benefit from therapy.
I cannot take painful events or trauma away, but what I can do and will do, is walk alongside you and help you find your way to healing and growth. I can help you understand yourself better, understand more about what impacts you and how this presents by providing a safe environment where you can unpack and feel your feelings.
We live in a world dominated by social media and narratives that place unrealistic expectations on people. Mental health & emotional well-being are much debated topics but there is no, one size fits all and whilst a social media quote may provide great insights, working with a therapist, is a healthier and safer approach to feeling better and living well.
I provide online therapy for adults, children, and adolescents dealing with a range of challenges including relationship difficulties, identity struggles, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, and grief to list just a few.

My first session
In your first therapy session with me, you can expect a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where you can freely express yourself. We will start by discussing your reasons for seeking therapy and any goals or concerns you may have. This initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship.
I'll ask questions to better understand your background, experiences, and current challenges. Together, we will outline a personalised plan moving forward and discuss how therapy can support your growth and well-being. About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Donna, an experienced and compassionate therapist with over 10 years in private practice. Whatever has brought you here, you've already taken an important first step by looking for support.
I believe everyone can benefit from therapy.
Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected from ourselves, whether through anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, low mood, identity struggles or other life challenges. You don't have to face these experiences alone.
I can't change what has happened, but I can walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences and move towards healing and growth. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space. My aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, build resilience and find ways of living that feel more meaningful and authentic.
I recognise that every person is unique. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, which is why I tailor our work to your individual needs, drawing on evidence-based approaches while considering you as a whole person, not simply the difficulties you are experiencing.
We live in a world full of advice, opinions and quick fixes. Therapy offers something different: dedicated time and space to slow down, be heard without judgement and discover what genuinely works for you.
I work with adults, children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, creating a warm, collaborative environment where lasting change can take place.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you don't have to do it alone. If you're ready to take that next step, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
Practice description
My practice is built on the belief that therapy should be as individual as the people seeking it. I offer a collaborative, person-centred and integrative approach, adapting each session to your unique needs, goals and experiences rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.
Creating a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space is at the heart of my work. Together, we can explore the challenges you're facing at a pace that feels right for you, helping you gain insight, develop healthier coping strategies and move towards lasting change.
I work with adults, children and adolescents, supporting clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, identity and life transitions. I also offer couples and relationship counselling.
Whether you're experiencing a specific difficulty or simply feel that something isn't quite right, therapy can provide the space to understand yourself more deeply and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
If you'd like to find out more or arrange an initial conversation, I'd be pleased to hear from you.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space. Many people feel nervous before starting therapy, so we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, with no pressure to share more than you're ready to.
We'll explore what has brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask some questions about your background and experiences to help me understand your unique circumstances, but there is no expectation for you to have all the answers.
The first session is also your opportunity to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is an important part of the process, and I welcome any questions you may have about how I work.
By the end of our session, you'll have a clearer understanding of how therapy with me works and, together, we'll consider the most helpful way to move forward.
