About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP‑accredited counsellor and psychotherapist offering compassionate, effective support in Aberdeen and online across the UK. I provide a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and explore what you need at a pace that feels right for you.
I work with a wide range of emotional challenges, with particular experience in anxiety, trauma, stress, and overwhelm. My approach is grounded in person‑centred values—meaning you are always at the heart of the work—and informed by evidence‑based methods to help you make meaningful, lasting change.
As a member of EMDR UK, I also offer EMDR therapy for clients who want to process trauma or distressing experiences in a structured, safe, and supportive way.
Clients often describe me as warm, steady, and easy to talk to. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for things to feel different, I’m here to help you move toward greater clarity, balance, and emotional wellbeing.
Practice description
My practice offers a calm, welcoming space for clients seeking meaningful support with their emotional wellbeing. I provide in‑person sessions in Aberdeen as well as online therapy across the UK, giving you the flexibility to choose what feels most comfortable and accessible.
To help you get a sense of whether we’re the right fit, I offer a free 15‑minute introductory call. This is a gentle, no‑pressure opportunity to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and get a feel for how I work before committing to therapy.
The therapy room is located in a quiet, easily accessible setting with on‑site parking and a comfortable waiting area, making your arrival as stress‑free as possible.
Clients often describe the space as calm, safe, and grounding — a place where you can slow down, reflect, and explore what you need with support and without judgement. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed, my aim is to offer a steady, compassionate presence and help you move toward greater clarity and emotional balance.
My first session
Your first session is a structured space to help us understand what you’re experiencing and what you would like from therapy. We begin with an assessment of your needs, exploring what has brought you to counselling and what feels most important for you right now. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable.
We will look at the history of the issues you’re facing, how they are affecting your day‑to‑day life, and any factors that may be contributing to your wellbeing. This helps us build a clear picture together and ensures the support you receive is tailored to you.
We also spend time identifying your goals for therapy — whether that’s reducing anxiety, processing past experiences, improving emotional balance, or simply having a safe place to talk things through. These goals can be flexible and evolve as therapy progresses.
By the end of the first session, you’ll have a sense of how we might work together, what to expect from the process, and whether the approach feels right for you.
