About me and my therapy practice
Feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed by life’s challenges? Whether you're navigating relationship difficulties, work stress, or a major life transition, it’s completely normal to seek support. I'm here to help you move through difficult times by drawing on your strengths, increasing psychological insight, and working together to enhance your wellbeing.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families in both the United States and the UK. My approach is strengths-based and solution-focused, designed to empower you to develop practical tools and emotional resilience for everyday life.
I have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and adjustment-related issues. My clinical background includes private practice and community-based mental health settings. I was a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and am now a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
Therapy with me is collaborative and goal-oriented. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and will sometimes offer exercises or reflections outside of sessions to support your growth. My intention is to meet you where you are in life—whether you’re feeling stuck, sad, or simply in need of someone to talk to—and help you create meaningful change.
Your mental health is priceless. Investing in yourself can improve not only your outlook on life but also your relationships with others and with yourself.

Practice description
Therapy with me goes beyond the standard one-hour weekly session. I offer a guided and supportive approach that includes ongoing contact between sessions to help you stay on track and reach your goals more effectively.
You’ll have the option to check in with me between sessions—whether to ask questions, share updates, or submit therapeutic assignments. I provide follow-up emails with tailored resources, reflections, and activities related to what we explore in our sessions. These are designed to deepen your insight and encourage continued progress throughout the week.
This flexible, responsive approach helps ensure that the therapeutic process remains active and relevant to your day-to-day life. Clients often find that this added support accelerates their growth and strengthens the impact of our work together.
My first session
I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, so I will guide you through this initial session to help increase your comfort and ease. We'll take time to explore what brings you to therapy—whether it's stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or life transitions—and begin identifying both what is already working in your life and areas you’d like to strengthen.
The first session is a space to get to know each other, understand your goals, and begin shaping a plan that feels right for you. You’re encouraged to go at a pace that suits your needs—there’s no pressure to share more than you're ready for.
I offer a structured, yet flexible approach. Prior to our first meeting, I may send you a short questionnaire to help focus our conversation and highlight key concerns. This also gives me a better understanding of how to tailor our work together from the very beginning.
While my standard fee applies to the first session, I provide added value throughout our work by offering support between sessions through optional email check-ins and personalised resources.
This first conversation is not only about identifying your challenges—it’s also about beginning a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard, and supported.

About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel overwhelming when navigating a difficult relationship, coping with loss, adjusting to a major change, or simply carrying more than you can hold right now. You don't have to work through it alone.
I offer counselling in both English and Spanish (Hablo Español), which means you can express yourself fully, in whichever language feels most natural to you.
With over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families across private practice and community mental health clinics in the US and now the UK, I bring a depth of perspective that few therapists can offer. I trained and practised as a Licensed Professional Counsellor in Texas and am now an accredited and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
My approach is grounded in a strengths-based, solution-focused framework. I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of any meaningful change, and I work collaboratively with you. I draw on your existing resilience, skills, and self-knowledge to help you move forward. Sessions are active and purposeful; I may offer reflective assignments between meetings to deepen your progress.
I work with people facing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, high-conflict situations, and life transitions. Whatever brought you here, I'll meet you where you are, and we'll work at a pace that feels right for you.
If you'd like to find out whether we're a good fit, I'd welcome a free consultation. Reach out to arrange an initial consultation.

Practice description
Therapy doesn't stop when the session ends, and neither does my support.
Alongside your weekly sessions, I offer structured between-session contact so that the work we do together continues to take root in your everyday life. This means you're not waiting seven days to process something important, ask a question, or share a realisation; you can reach out when you like.
Weekly check-in emails: personalised follow-ups after each session with reflections, resources, and activities tailored to what we discussed.
Between-session exercises: optional assignments designed to deepen self-awareness and help you explore new perspectives between appointments.
Ongoing correspondence: send back completed exercises, ask questions, or check in at any point. Your progress doesn't have to wait.
This approach suits people who want to move forward purposefully, not just talk, but actively build the changes they're seeking. Everything is optional and moves at your pace.
