About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults whose lives look “sorted” from the outside education, career, home, caring responsibilities, a busy diary but who privately feel as though they don’t really cope well. You might feel exhausted or “too much”, anxious, overwhelmed, or as if you’re always one step away from everything unravelling, despite how your life appears.
Many of the people I see come from complex or narcissistic families, have lived through sexual or relational trauma, or grew up feeling emotionally overlooked. In adult life this can show up as self-doubt, a harsh inner critic, people-pleasing, shame around having needs, difficulties in intimacy, overworking, or periods of switching off or disconnecting. You may feel stuck in patterns you don’t like, and at the same time struggle to imagine what a different way of living would even look like.
Therapy with me offers a calm, steady, trauma-informed space where you don’t have to minimise your experience or “hold it together”. It is an hour a week that is only for you, no multitasking, no performing, to think, feel and slowly make sense of how your past is still shaping your present. You don’t need perfect words or a clear story; we can start from “something isn’t right and I don’t know what to do about it”.
Common themes in my practice include:
- burnout and high-responsibility roles
- neurodivergence, including late ADHD diagnosis
- menopause, midlife questions and life transitions
- complex or narcissistic family dynamics
- sexual trauma in childhood and adulthood
- trauma, PTSD and dissociation
Training & qualifications
- BACP Senior Accredited
- Postgraduate Diploma Psychodynamic Psychotherapeutic Counselling
- MA Psychoanalytic Studies
- BA (Hons) Therapeutic Psychology and Counselling
- Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision
Currently studying Professional Doctorate in Psychotherapy/Psychological Trauma
Specialist training in complex trauma, dissociation, sexual trauma, difficult family dynamics, narcissism and therapeutic / reflective writing.
Practice description
I have an office in Bromley, a discreet comfortable private space or sessions can done over zoom video.
As an senior accredited psychodynamic therapist, my approach involves delving into your inner world to uncover how past experiences, particularly from childhood, shape your current emotions and behaviours. We can look at how past experiences influence your current behaviour and emotions. I am a warm and relational therapist that offers you have the freedom to choose what you want to talk about. If you find yourself in silence, I’ll gently check in with you to see how it feels. Sometimes, silence is a useful space to gather your thoughts before continuing. Other times, it might feel uncomfortable or awkward, and that’s okay. We’ll work together to decide when you might need a little support to keep going.
My work is also informed by attachment theory, we examine how early relationships influence your interactions and relationships today, working to untangle and refine these emotional blueprints for healthier connections. I have a special interest in in trauma and dissociation, my trauma-informed practice acknowledges the impact of your experiences, treating emotional responses as normal reactions to extraordinary events. Maybe you hide parts of you from others for fear you will be misunderstood. All parts of you are welcome to therapy!
I also work with Therapeutic Writing with clients drawn to this approach. Writing for wellbeing goes beyond journaling. In therapy, it becomes a powerful tool for self-discovery. Explore emotions, gain new perspectives, and process challenges at your own pace. Whether writing a letter to your younger self, or crafting a story that reflects your struggles, this approach empowers you to express what might be difficult to say out loud. I offer Therapeutic Writing as an option for clients who find written expression helpful. Writing can take place within your therapy session or written between sessions.
My first session
Coming to your first therapy session? We’ll start by settling in. I’ll explain a little about how I work, answer any questions, and make sure you know you’re in charge of the pace. Some people dive straight into their story; others prefer to dip a toe in and get used to the water. Both are fine, I won’t push you to share more than feels comfortable.
You might talk about what’s bringing you to therapy now, whether that’s trauma, burnout, menopause, or that nagging feeling that something isn’t quite right. Or, if words don’t come easily at first, we can sit with the pauses. I won’t leave you to drown in silence though, so I will check in and offer questions if that is helpful.
We’ll also talk about what you’d like from therapy. Sometimes that’s clear “I want to stop feeling anxious all the time”, and sometimes it’s more of a “something has to change, but I don’t know what.” Either way, we’ll figure it out together.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a sense of what it’s like to work with me.
A note about Single-Session Therapy (SST)
Sometimes you don’t need a longer course of therapy, just one really good, focused conversation can make all the difference. That’s what SST is for. In a single session (50, 75, or 90 minutes), you get my full attention, a confidential space to untangle what’s on your mind, and a sounding board to help you see things from a fresh perspective. Previous clients also find it useful as a one-off check-in to reconnect and refocus. SST isn’t the right setting for trauma processing, your whole life story or crisis support, but when you want clarity, encouragement, and a bit of focused thinking space on a specific issue, it can be just what you need.
What I can help with
Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Loss, Menopause, Neurodiversity, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Brief therapy, Psychodynamic, Relational
Clients I work with

About me and my therapy practice
If you are looking for a supportive supervisor. I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your supervision needs or to arrange an initial meeting.
I hold a Certificate in Psychodynamic Supervision and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision. These qualifications equip me with the skills to provide effective supervision to psychotherapists and counsellors at various stages of their careers. Whether you are an early career psychotherapist, still in training, or running your private practice, I am here to support you.
Who I Support
Private Practitioners: Running a private practice can be rewarding but also challenging. I offer guidance on maintaining professional boundaries, managing client relationships, and ensuring ethical practice. Additionally, I can provide support on the business side of running a practice, helping you navigate issues such as marketing, client acquisition, and balancing case loads.
Early Career therapists: Starting out in this field can be daunting. I offer a safe space for you to discuss your cases, reflect on your practice, and gain confidence in your therapeutic skills. My aim is to help you develop a strong foundation for a successful career in psychotherapy and counselling.
Trainees: If you are still in training, supervision is a crucial part of your development. I provide structured supervision to help you integrate theory with practice, understand the dynamics of the therapeutic relationship, and build your clinical skills.
Practice description
My supervision style is warm, approachable, and collaborative. I believe in creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable discussing your challenges and successes. Together, we will explore your cases, reflect on your experiences, and identify areas for growth. I aim to help you develop your unique therapeutic voice while adhering to best practices.
A Place for the Whole You Bring all of it, your curiosity, your doubts, your joy, your tiredness, even your burnout. Supervision isn’t about chasing the “right” answers. It’s about staying true to yourself and the values that keep you grounded as a therapist.
No Masks Needed If you’re neurodivergent, you may know the pressure of feeling like you have to “perform.” Here, you can set that burden down. Together, we’ll shape supervision in ways that support you, agreeing clear expectations, adapting how we communicate, and checking in on what helps you feel safe and steady.
Honouring Lived Experience Many therapists bring their own lived experiences into the room, and this perspective can be both powerful and complex. Supervision is a space where your experiences are respected and valued, while also supporting you to navigate boundaries and maintain your wellbeing as a practitioner.
Reflective Practice: Supervision is a space for reflection. We will explore your feelings and reactions to your clients, helping you understand how these influence your therapeutic work. This reflective practice is essential for personal and professional growth.
Ethical and Professional Guidance: Maintaining ethical standards is paramount in psychotherapy. I provide guidance on ethical dilemmas and professional conduct, ensuring you practice safely and effectively.
Practical Support: Beyond clinical issues, I offer practical support on the logistics of running a practice. From setting up your business to managing your workload, I am here to help you navigate the practicalities of being a therapist.
