About me and my therapy practice

I will support you to navigate and negotiate the obstacles that you are experiencing to help you develop the tools and techniques to improve your confidence and esteem, to have a better image of yourself and build relationships that you find supportive and nurturing.

My workings days are Monday to Friday.
I offer Counselling and Supervision between 8am and 8pm on these days. Monday's and Tuesdays are currently online only. Face to face supervision is offered Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and Counselling Supervisor who works with supervisees to actualise their potential. I aim to support you in being a safe, ethical practitioner who work in the best interests of your clients.
I utilise the person-centred approach as a relational foundation to support professional development and growth with supervision. I aim to hold a reflective, developmental space that encourages you to develop autonomy and agency as a practitioner. This is underpinned by shaping practice and reflection with the Seven-Eyed Model, Carroll's Seven Tasks of Supervision, alongside the CLEAR model.
I aim to support fellow counsellors at all stages of the personal and professional development. I do have an interest in working with trainees as they start their professional journey and bolster their initial training.
I have an interest in working with supervisees who are from the South Asian and Black Communities or supervisees who work with these groups to develop awareness of cultural humility.
I offer the opportunity to experience supervision on an individual basis and also in a group setting.
Practice description
As a counsellor, my practice is very much Person-Centred and continues to involve to integrate other modalities to ensure a supportive, pragmatic, client-centred focus. I have experience of working with the Integrative Approach as well as teaching trainee counsellors. This equips me with a good understanding of how professional standards are important at all stages of professional and personal development.
My Supervisory way of working uses the Person-Centred approach as a foundation to combine the use of the Seven-Eyed Model, Carroll's Seven Tasks of Supervision, alongside the CLEAR model. This combines with the use of the person-centred approach to build a relational way of working to help you actualise your potential as a practitioner and that of your clients.
My aim is to facilitate a safe, ethical space in Supervision that ensures you gain support, have the opportunity for reflection and feedback whilst developing into the best practitioner you can be. This means ensuring that you experience supervision as a restorative, formative and normative relational process with a birds eye view over your work.
I hope to foster a supervision process that encourages growth, reflection and encourages you to be a practitioner with an ethical, collaborative and client-centred practice. I am to offer collegiate support that offers challenge to encourage growth and development with the potential to be an independent, autonomous practitioner.
I offer the benefit of clinical practice that has been developed and gained from having worked with a variety of client groups and client concerns. I have worked with the third sector, EAP's and training organisations to gain a valuable insight, knowledge and awareness of short, medium and long term work across face to face, online and telephone counselling.
I have an interest in working with supervisees who are from the South Asian and Black Communities or supervisees who work with these groups to develop awareness of cultural humility.
My first session
During the initial session, this is an opportunity to determine whether we are the best fit for one another. This is an opportunity for us both to ask questions of one another and determine if an effective supervisory relationship can be built for onward development.
In this session, we can discuss your experience of being a counsellor, what you would like to gain from supervision and what onward professional and personal development looks likes for you. This was would be a spring-board for onward, reflective and collegiate development.
The initial session would also consider your level of training, i.e. whether you are a trainee or fully qualified, as well as other clinical experience to ensure that supervision follows a road map that matches your vision of onward personal and professional development. There would be collaborative and collegiate discussion as to how the supervisory relationship might be formed and built.
Initial sessions are 50 minutes in length and the fee for the initial session is £30. The initial session can be face to face, online or via telephone.
Beyond this, the fee will be determined by whether you're a counselling in training or a qualified counsellor. The time length of Supervision will also the vary.
