I am currently available face to face Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Exminster and via Zoom or Telephone Monday or Thursdays 9.30 - 3pm.
If you would like to contact me via email I will reply as soon as possible. Usually the same day.
I will reply to answerphone messages left where permission has been given to call back, but will not answer phone numbers I do not recognise due to confidentiality and possible inappropriateness of the environment I maybe in.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello. My name is Lou.
I work with adult individuals and couples.
I have wide and varied experience and knowledge of emotional and psychological stressors (Trauma) and have worked with many clients requiring support.
My niche areas of work are; Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Historical Coercive and Physical Abuse, Chronic Shame,(Disconnection from Self, Guilt and Self Hatred) Relationship and Couples Work.
Practice description
Details/photos and directions to my practice room in Exminster can be found on my website. The room is welcoming and comforting in size, easily accessible by public transport and the M5, with plenty of parking.
When working remotely I am based from my home office.
My first session
I offer an initial 20-30 minute free Telephone or Zoom Consultation, so you can get a feel for me and so we can discuss your needs.
Our first sessions last upto but nolonger than an hour. This will be used to complete some basic paperwork, discuss your needs further and how we might work together moving forward.

I have availabiity throughout the week Monday to Friday 10am - 3pm. With the flexibility to work outside of those hours on request.

About me and my therapy practice

Practice description
I can offer you a breadth of experience as an Integrative Counsellor who is Trauma Informed, has a foundation of Person-Centred practise and Humanistic Approaches including directive working styles with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy).
There is the option to work in person at my therapy room in Exminster or work remotely via Zoom or Telephone, in compliment to your way of working with your clients.
I am currently a Trainee Clinical Supervisor and am offering low cost sessions at £20 an hour. I am able to work with Student Counsellors, as well as, Individuals Practitioners in Private Practise or affiliated with an Organisation.
My training is the 7 Eyed Model, which would facilitate the following areas of exploration and focus;
- Focus on the client and how they present
- Exploring the strategies and interventions used
- The Relationship between Client and Counsellor
- A focus on you the Supervisee
- The Supervisory Relationship (Supervisee and Supervisor Dynamic)
- The Supervisor Experience (reflections/awareness/thoughts)
- Wider Context of the overall experince and work
My first session
Our first session will be an opportunity to mutually discuss our responsibilities, talk through our Working Agreement and how this sits with the needs of your practise alongside any limitations and boundaries. And just as importantly it is an opportunity for us to get to know one another.
