About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced psychotherapist working in private practice and the NHS.
I trained in person-centred, integrative, humanistic and existential approaches and can tailor therapy sessions to meet different needs. I offer a service to anyone struggling with the meaning and direction of their lives.
I have particular experience of working with people who live with chronic health conditions, those facing life-changing diagnoses, as well as individuals experiencing loss and bereavement, anxiety and depression. I currently work in a psycho-oncology and palliative care team and have previously worked in both the NHS and voluntary sector with stroke survivors and their families, people living with diabetes and cystic fibrosis, and in a clinic for patients struggling with chronic gut and bowel conditions.
I am committed to ongoing training and supervision of my work and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Practice description
Psychotherapy and counselling sessions provide space to breathe, reflect and explore areas of your life in which you are troubled, unhappy or unsatisfied.
I can support you to recognise patterns of behaviour which are causing you to feel stuck in situations that no longer meet your needs. Raising awareness of these patterns allows you to make different choices and live your life in a more fulfilling way. Therapy sessions provide an opportunity for you to speak about whatever is troubling you and consider what you need now.
We can meet for a fixed number of sessions or open-endedly, as meets your needs. We will check-in with each other and review this as we progress through sessions.
