About me and my therapy practice
The journey through life is not easy. There may be times when we find ourselves feeling stuck, anxious, low, or simply not at ease with who we are or where we are. We may feel isolated and alone with our problems, unable to share what we are carrying, perhaps because those close to us are too close to be objective, or because we fear judgement or criticism.
I offer a safe, warm, non-judgemental and empathetic space, allowing you to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions in complete confidence. You will have the opportunity to express concerns and problems and achieve better clarity of thought. Through gaining a better self-understanding you have the opportunity to become more accepting and kinder to yourself. This allows life to flow more easily and become more fulfilling.
The areas I work with include anxiety, depression, PTSD, low self-worth, bereavement, living with chronic illness and relationship difficulties. I also volunteer as a counsellor at The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre in West Sussex, where I work with people diagnosed with cancer, before, during and after treatment, and with family members affected or bereaved by cancer.
As well as working as a counsellor, I am a health coach specialising in treating and managing chronic illness. I can incorporate health coaching into a counselling session if desired. It can be beneficial to look at diet and lifestyle and see how it may be impacting on health and wellbeing. Simple changes in these areas can improve symptoms and help treat chronic illness, both mental and physical.
I am committed to ongoing continuing professional development to ensure I offer the most current and effective support available.
