About me and my therapy practice

Thank you for visiting my profile. I’m a trauma-informed, qualified practitioner passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-focused. I believe that counselling should feel safe, supportive, and empowering.

I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step toward seeking help, especially if you’ve experienced trauma or are feeling overwhelmed. My role is to walk alongside you, offering a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment and at your own pace.

Areas I Can Help With

Life transitions

Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm, understanding nature and the sense of safety they feel in our sessions. I aim to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.

“Now you’ve taken the first step, and that shows incredible strength and courage. Your journey toward healing and growth is already underway, and I’m here to support you as you build the life you deserve. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities and create lasting change.”

Practice description

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and I want to make it as comfortable and supportive as possible for you. When you work with me, you can expect a safe, confidential space—whether that’s in person, online, or by telephone—where you feel heard and understood.

I’m a trauma-informed practitioner, and my approach is warm, collaborative, and client-focused. I believe counselling should fit your needs, so our sessions will move at your pace. You can rely on me to be consistent and dependable, providing a stable and supportive presence throughout your journey. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies that help you feel more in control of your life.

I use a range of techniques, including mindfulness, solution-focused methods, and the Rewind Technique for trauma processing. These tools can help reduce anxiety, manage stress, and gently process difficult experiences so you can move forward with confidence.

Counselling offers a space for reflection, growth, and healing. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, or life changes, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My first session

Your first session will be a 30-minute telephone conversation designed to help us get to know each other and ensure counselling feels right for you. During this call, we’ll complete an initial assessment and discuss what has brought you here, your goals, and your expectations for therapy. This is your opportunity to share what matters most to you and ask any questions about how I work.

The first session is £20, payable in advance, and provides a gentle introduction to counselling without pressure. It’s a chance for you to feel comfortable, understand the process, and decide whether you’d like to continue with regular sessions.

As a trauma-informed practitioner, I’ll always move at your pace and prioritise safety, choice, and control. I’ll explain my approach—warm, collaborative, and client-focused—and how techniques such as mindfulness, solution-focused methods, and the Rewind Technique may support your goals.

By the end of the call, we’ll review what feels right for you and agree on next steps. There’s no obligation—just a supportive space to start your journey.

About me and my therapy practice

As a trauma-informed, qualified supervisor, I offer a supportive, collaborative space for counsellors to reflect on their practice, develop professionally, and maintain ethical standards. My supervision approach is grounded in person-centred principles, ensuring that you feel respected, valued, and empowered throughout our work together.

I believe supervision should be a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can explore challenges, celebrate successes, and deepen your understanding of both your clients and yourself as a practitioner. Together, we will focus on your development, ethical decision-making, and self-care, while maintaining the highest standards of professional practice.

My trauma-informed perspective means I am sensitive to the impact of trauma—not only on clients but also on counsellors. I prioritise safety, choice, and control in supervision, encouraging open dialogue about boundaries, triggers, and resilience. This approach helps you feel supported when working with complex or emotionally demanding cases.

Practice description

Supervision is a space for growth, reflection, and support—and I aim to make it safe, collaborative, and meaningful for you. As a qualified, trauma-informed supervisor, I offer a person-centred approach that values your individuality and professional journey.

You can expect:

A safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel respected and heard.

Flexibility in format—sessions can take place online or by telephone, making supervision accessible and convenient without losing depth or connection.

Trauma-informed sensitivity, ensuring we explore your work with care, especially when dealing with complex or emotionally demanding cases.

Focus on your goals and needs, whether that’s case discussion, ethical decision-making, self-care, or professional development.

Consistency and reliability, providing a stable space for reflection and growth.

Supervision sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. We can explore casework, theoretical frameworks, practical strategies, your personal responses, and your professional growth. I integrate reflective practice, ethical considerations, and creative techniques to make supervision meaningful and effective.

Whether you are newly qualified or experienced, I aim to help you feel confident, competent, and connected in your work. Supervision is not just about compliance—it’s about growth, insight, and sustaining your passion for counselling.
